the one came with Nillkin case
for phone i can do it perfectly
*
Nillkin SP has almost full cover on the screen, so the alignment at the side must be almost perfect to get it done nicely.

Yeah, I think I applied mine just a little bit senget...

no bubble at all, but the bottom left side not perfectly applied, a little bit of the screen protector is outside the screen and can be peel up by fingernail... but not a problem as it's protected by the case

wow, Otterbox Defender for Nexus7 so expensive at $69.95! shocking.gif
*
good stuff dun come cheap. sweat.gif I prefer case-mate Tough but too bad they dun make one for the N7. sad.gif

Ah okies.. Still pretty new to android so I got the tendency to compare the battery life to Symbian. Those Nokia phones really can last.

Pretty paranoid since this is my first android and with all the complaints on other forums on the N7's battery
*
just to clarify, unlike the Samsung Tab 7.7 3G, the Nexus 3G version cannot be used to make calls and thus cannot replace your Symbian phone.

Yeap I'm aware of that.. Was just comparing the battery life of both devices.

I got no complaints about the N7:) Just taking my beginner steps into the android world. Pretty large jump from one OS into the other

it will be one pleasant huge jump from a sinking ship to a firing rocket. biggrin.gif

Hi there Nexus Lovers,

I'm planning to move from iOS to Nexus, because of the cheaper price. Would it be a good idea?

I'll mostly use it for going online, checking my gmail, store and read my important documents/notes, creating new documents. I'm a university student btw.

The only downside i feel is that it's inability to be hooked up to an external display for presentation purposes and how is the play store when it comes to apps for medical professionals/students?

So help me out here and tell me what amazing stuff that the Nexus can do that the iOS cant (that is inline with my uni life).
*
Note 10.1 will be a better bet. If you are not in a hurry, there is rumour Samsung is getting out a 7" Note series. It will be a perfect match for a student, if you think 10" tablet is too big for you.

My sister who teaches in an international school for the art subject just get a Note 10.1 (as recommended by me tongue.gif). She is find it matched her need quite closely.

Nexus 7 is really more for entertainment - media consumption and gaming. Not so suitable for serious stuff like note taking and presentation.

Install the >>Beats+XLouder<< Mod, it increase the quality and loudness of the N7 by quite a lot. But so far only manage to get it works in Music and Appollo, PowerAmp seems like still soft and no effect. I did disable Direct Volume Control under Audio Tweaks in PowerAmp Settings. hmm.gif Using it in headphone only, scare the mod might blow the fragile build in speaker. sweat.gif

I just got a N7 3G from PC fair. Thinking of getting a Maxis data plan. Any recommendation?
*
i think only Maxis Surfmore package is cater for data only connection. Of course you can still make calls if you use the sim in a phone. Surfmore RM50 for 2GB data and RM75 for 5gb data per month. Maxis has stopped charging customer after they reach the quota started from 3.12.12 for 1GB and above data plan.

yes, dun think auto shut down at 20% is a common problem. My Nexus 7 can go down to 1% and still tahan usable for a while. But normally i will plug into power source around 5%.

do we only have asus store to get it from?
*
i think should be RM799 in Lowyat Plaza as reported by uncle Benny few pages back. SenHeng/SenQ is carrying it also now.

LowYat plaza hotspot is actually RM 799 + RM100 for any other stuff - they sell as a package
*
so it is still RM899 official RRP afterall. Thanks for the correction.

Guys I have a little dilemma here. My laptop battery just died and I am thinking of getting a new toy to replace my laptop. Now, I am deciding to get a tablet instead for easier portability.

However, what do you think in terms of usage for Google nexus 7? I mean of course it is not a laptop p but could it perform tasks close to what laptop can do? hmm.gif
*
you haven't stated what do you do with your laptop. For me, i need to run some software which cannot be found on an Android tablet, so definitely no way to substitute it with a tablet. But i use my laptop much less nowadays after getting tablet. Checking email, watching videos, reading mags and books are much faster, convenient, easier and enjoyable on a 7" tablet.

That fits length wise not width wise. Nexus 7 will be on landscape. Isn't that what you wanna watch your movie like? It uses the 3 contact points on the side of the Nexus 7 as charger and piping audio out.
*
what are the ports in the dock? Should have at least audio out, right? Got HDMI out? How about USB port for connecting keyboard/mouse/thumb drive? thanks. smile.gif

you should have bought 2-3 more for sell here in the garage. drool.gif

wow.... really pointless, just have a single audio out and nothing else, not even a usb port for keyboard/mouse. doh.gif

how can this be a dock - it is just a desktop charger. rolleyes.gif

Oh well. Not everyone like a more well organized work area and neater look. Yup, you can always buy those spider looking stand instead of this. rolleyes.gif

yes, we do like a neat dock but google/asus really do not put in any effort to make it a worthwhile accessory.
