Mine is also 32GB from US but now I regret not getting the 3G. It is a bit hard when you are out of wifi area. I would say is a useless exercise to do suchAdded on November 7, 2012, 9:52 pmCan I perform this camera mod on my nexus which is on stock rom 4.1.2. I am uncertain because I see the downloaded file name is "N7-720p_camera_mod-tl-aosp"... aosp. This is for a custom rom? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1868962 How are you going to take a camera shot without even able to view what you are capturing This post has been edited by benny888: Nov 8 2012, 08:58 AM |

Nexus 7 burn out after overnight charging. No one knows really the exact facts/situation of this case yet. ASUS acted fast and provided a new replacement to the owner

It takes a bit of luck to get a proper working OTG cable. Anyone knows anywhere selling it at premium quality? Don't mind cashing out a bit more for a quality product I got this from ebay. It is well built and can easily detect my Samsung 1 TB driveI have 2 others bought from lowyat forum and lowyat shop - both cannot be used except only can detect thumb drives only http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-2-0-to-Micro-U...ME:L:OC:MY:3160 This post has been edited by benny888: Nov 10 2012, 10:51 AM |

QUOTE(redlyfs @ Nov 12 2012, 11:04 AM) Yes Well I never encounter any issues flashing kernel only without wiping cache/dalvik in ALL my android phones and tablets- Prevent Dalvik from invalidating at boot + re dex deodexed APK. - If there's a different dex file attached to APK, you're guaranteed to get a FC on when running the app. However you need not wipe IF the ROM you're using is compatible with kernel. Even so there's still the possibility of wrongly dex'ed APK. Perhaps you should try experimenting different ROMs with different kernels then possibly you could emulate a bootloop to encourage a dalvik/cache wipe Only flashing rom, I will wipe such caches only. |

QUOTE(mtxx @ Nov 13 2012, 10:21 PM) Does this mean my current setup will never get 4.2 ota? I restore back my stock rom and flash through recovery mode the zip fileEven when official ota arrive, after I download, when it flash, it will have error too right? Even small changes in system folder also cause ota fail. How many people actually use 100% stock. Last time due to battery icon mod can't upgrade 4.1.2 Now due to aosp browser and modified maps app, fail to get 4.2. Haiz sad La. If you do not have a nandroid backup than flash the 4.1.2 google image using toolkit than only upgrade |

QUOTE(gin&tonic @ Nov 14 2012, 09:36 PM) If it works, it will replace your TWRP - this is a very good recovery. Why even bother to change itAnyway Rom Manager nowadays is outdated and does not seem to work well on many devices Use Nexus7 toolkit to flash CWM recovery - quick and simple This post has been edited by benny888: Nov 14 2012, 10:12 PM |

QUOTE(gin&tonic @ Nov 14 2012, 10:14 PM) CWM backup is about same size lah. There are 2 folders in CWM backup - one the backup folder but the balance bulk is in the obb folder - go and look inside itDON'T even try to tamper with these files as if you do guaranteed you will not be able to restore it. If you are using TWRP you can always backup to external Sdcard/or thumb drives and free your tab internal memory. I keep up to 4 backup of different roms in my thumb drives using TWRP CWM can ONLY backup to internal memory |
