What's the non-promotional price?
I was going to get the Audio Technica MSR7, but the price went up to beyond my budget.

basically I compared both in Jaben before, MSR7 is good in lady vocal, whereby MDR1A is average for all and better in bass. Previously I also plan to take MSR7, but I feel not comfortable especially I'm wearing spec, on the other hand, MDR1A is super comfortable! you should try both before make the decision

I already have tried both. I like the MSR7 more. Well that price is to be expected since both are from Japan and kinda direct competitors. Oh well, I guess I'll wait for the currency to get better.

Highly recommended Sony XBA-1 if you still can find the stock from Sony Centre, its very clean and neutral, bass lacking but can be adjusted using equalizer or CLEAR AUDIO if you have sony player.

Tested the MDR-100AAP at japan, damn powerful the sound!! perfect for any song
but selling 20000 yen, which RM730 is too way over my budget

MDR-EX750 selling 8xxx yen, which under RM300, the sound also great!

both with hi-res audio certified

Nope didn't get that, will be interesting to check if it's really a 24 bit or an upsampled version. HDtracks have a record for not checking their mastering..
