QUOTE(MR_alien @ Dec 29 2012, 05:16 PM) Not really, US consumers are becoming more conscious about rising fuel prices as well, that's why a lot of compacts and sub-compacts are doing well there. The Mirage selling point of great fuel economy plays to that trend, it's just a matter of how Mitsu plans to market and price it against it's rivals since Mitsu cars aren't exactly selling well there right now, in fact there have been rumors that they might follow the footsteps of Suzuki This post has been edited by dares: Dec 29 2012, 05:21 PM |

QUOTE(MR_alien @ Dec 29 2012, 08:14 PM) want to ask something abt proton's CVT or any other CVT Haha I didn't pay attention to this so I can't remember, I'll see if I can get any FLX CVT owners to answer you.when u stopped @ traffic light pressing the brake(fully)...no change to N, still in D will the CVT stop itself? my meaning of stop itself mean that even if u release the brake pedal slowly...it won't even move(as if its in N) cuz the mirage CVT...when fully stop at traffic light...when i release 80-90% of the brake pedal...it still doesn't move it will only start moving after i fully release the brake I do know the Fiesta's clutch will move the car even if the brake pedal is not 100% released. |

QUOTE(MR_alien @ Dec 29 2012, 10:00 PM) yeah...know that...my saga 4AT as long as its still in D Here are the replies from the Saga membersthe gear will constantly move...u release abit of the brake pedal also it will move this i think they did something to it...that once u press like "certain amount" of second of the brake after fully stop...the gearbox seem stopped automatically even i released 90% of the brake pedal...nothing happen..no movement..only when i fully release it...only it will move something like AS&G but this is gearbox QUOTE(modskywalker @ Dec 29 2012, 09:49 PM) i have tried it few days back my FLX SE will move when i release my brake even a little bit from fully press. I believe by doing this will harm our brake pad also the clutch i guess, any anyone correct me? QUOTE(blau-saga @ Dec 29 2012, 09:53 PM) from my observation, at least the clutch will be released slowly even if u fully release the brake or not, that's without pressing accel, for certain angle of slope it will hold the car still QUOTE(BahWanG @ Dec 29 2012, 10:10 PM) Saga one the moment you release brake, it will start creeping instantly if the car is on a flat road.. On upwards slope, it will rollback a bit before the creeping function gains full power to creep the car upwards. Downwards slope, no need to say la. use logic. lol release a bit of brakes = creep slower lo. On a side note, never let the car to creep upwards without any throttle. Doing so will grant you a toasted clutch. |

QUOTE(MR_alien @ Dec 30 2012, 01:11 AM) yes..i was on flat ground There will be differences on how they work, Proton's CVT is clutch-based whereas Mirage's is torque converter based. The clutch will open when the brake is pressed, but the torque converter is always connected unless it is in N or P. might find some slope and test it next time becuz i drove my saga 4AT..i know that @ D...even fully press the brake..the transmission still working...so release abit still move this one have to release full only like activates back I don't know why the Mirage won't move without the brakes fully released, maybe the brakes work like N and disconnects the gearbox from the torque converter to save fuel. QUOTE(MR_alien @ Feb 1 2013, 09:31 PM) LOL, your friend very funny +1your myvi turtle already, this car also won't turtle turtle is becuz of handling and center of gravity this car have some great handling that day there was some dead animal on the middle of the road, have to take a hard left to the left lane suddenly did it and it handled very well if it was myvi, i think turtle already the spring can be changed, its purpose is for comfort everyone know saga have exceptional handling but do u know its original spring also super soft?...when got rear passangers, the spring will sag only in facelift like saga FL and FLX, proton change the spring to harder spring but that sacrifice the comfort level as well Soft springs alone don't cause turtle, poorly proportionate design does. QUOTE(johnance17 @ Feb 18 2013, 04:19 PM) Hi V12, Can't really tell you any difference since the lowest RON grade here is RON95.Thanks for replying, yup im using manual transmission and here in my place the lowest is Octane93 mix with 10%bio-ethanol, hmm so all of you guys are using octane 95? are those pure or with mix too?, i like to try the octane 95 but would like to see inputs here if 93 to 95 really makes a big impact on fc. Thanks bro. |
