awesome man! that's really 1 new town ride worth buying. so how does it feel like in the car as compared to your BLM? pro and cons besides of the FC?
*
pros and cons
for BLM - pros
1. more power of course
2. handling of course win hands down
3. Boot space big
4. stability during high speed

cons
1. throttle delay
2. FC lose
3. NVH lose(but can't compare much since saga doesn't came with soundproof)

mirage - pros
1. NVH very nice
2. FC wins hand down(hybrid territory using only engine)
3. driver side power window auto up and down
4. push start, digitised a/c, 2-din HU, keyless(smart key)

cons
1. handles well but have to face bodyroll when doing roundabout
2. EPS
3. the antenna is too long biggrin.gif

more to add...owners can add more

I just test drive the car in Seremban 3S centre and find the CVT to be somehow jerky - not sure what's the issue. The test drive car only clocks 70km of driving only. I also find the power somewhat lacking - although that's expected for a car with good FC and at this size. I thought Mirage should be better, especially on the CVT.
*
what jerky?
like bounce front and back?
or what kind of jerky
i dn't even feel jerky, the only thing i felt is the rubberband effect only(bounce front and back)

It feels like those auto transmission where there's a distinct change of gear, and induces a very slight "pull-back" feeling. I don't seem to be able to duplicate it as I want though, but it happens like 2-3 times in my short drive (like 3-5 minutes), admittedly the driving pattern is quite abnormal and aggressive for test driving purposes.
*
i think u never driven CVT...thats why
CVT and 4AT is very different
the speed will have to match the RPM
so if u rev higher than suppose to...after awhile, the rpm will dropped back down

are u sure de EPS is cons? EPS is so gud n light...takkan u wan heavy steering wheel ah?
*
EPS is not an update/upgrade from hydraulic
in fact, for me..its a downgrade
what EPS did is EPS took away the fun factor of driving the car
theres a reason why proton until now dn't want to change to EPS
same as lotus, BMW, mercedes and those super car brand

One of the advantage of EPS had compare to hydraulic system is the EPS is using electric motor to assist us doing the turn instead of hydraulic pump that draws power from engine to operate. So it will improve your fuel efficiency.

Also eliminate the usage of hydraulic hose and hydraulic pump to make the car easier maintaineance.

But only drawback i think is the some of the EPS cannot had the feedback as responsive as a hydraulic one. Which i think this can be properly tuned.  hmm.gif
*
but by saving abit more fuel + easier maintaineance(BTW my power steering was never serviced before)
and took away the fun factor...i dn't think is worthed
if there was 2 identical car, same spec...only difference is hydraulic power steering and EPS
no doubt in my mind, i would take hydraulic

I cant agree more. Just felt that the tyre owned me instead of I control the tyre. Seriously, not much choice, all new car nowadays come with EPS. biggrin.gif
*
its true
most company nowadays went for EPS, god knows why
toyota, nissan, suzuki, even perodua
left proton...and for me, its actually a wise move

To all the owner of mirage,

Just wondering do u guys exprience the petrol pump automatically stop at around 24 / 21 liter although i calculated it to be exactly 29 liter from the number of bars left in the petrol meter

Do u guys pump 97 or 95? found 95 to be less fuel efficient while 97 give better performance and fc.

just wondering though.
*
when u pump, is your tank empty or what?
becuz the owner's manual say that when u reach the last bar....its around 6 liter left
when it starts blinking mean 3 liter
i didn't test it becuz when i got my car, the fuel tank got some fuel inside already..so i can't really test

look what i've got
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

but this is only hovers for awhile....it flunctuate between 19-20KM/L
thn in traffic, the avg FC is still around 16.2-17.XKM/L
full tank can go how far, thn need to wait till finish
and this is pre-1000KM FC...after 1k service, might even be better

i am on last bar, i read the manual it say if blinking mean 6 liter or less, without blinking it is on 9 liter or less so it is about 35 - 9 around  26 liter, the petrol just auto stop on 21/24 i guess the nozzle are a little small causing the sensor to pick up earlier than conventional cars. just my thought tho.

not sure if that is the case, any car sifu here care to highlight?  icon_question.gif

anyway one more thing i noticed, when i pump 50 ringgit of petrol it shown only 24.xx liter on the pump instead if it is equally divided by 1.9 over 50 it should have been 26.31 liter. is this normal or just the petrol sation i patronize is over charging.  vmad.gif
*
yameh?...mine say if not blinking(last bar) is ~ 6 liter...if blink thn 3 liter or less
might need to have a look later

and about the RM50 = 24.XXL
they might have tempered with the meter..thats why.....petrol station will do anything to give u less/gain more profit

QUOTE(Edison83 @ Dec 6 2012, 06:28 PM)
good! Japan ad say can achieve 27.2km/l
see if can hit that XD
or maybe Japanese ppl are very polite in road....

more importantly, that ECO, wat does it do?
*
japanese one higher than us is becuz their engine is a 1.0L engine, not a 1.2L engine
and their engine is equipped with AS&G
if our 1.2L engine is equipped with AS&G, if not wrong...our stated FC is 25KM/L..i read somewhere

and BTW...i think my FC will be ~500KM for whole tank
cuz i'm not used to the CVT....sometime over-revved...the RPM will fluctuate up and down wildly
and sometime have to maintain around 2.5-3k RPM for quite sometime

there are things like auto fold side mirror, auto stop and go, eco sign and esp on/off that are missing from malaysia's mirage...to me, i really like auto fold side mirror and auto stop and go to be available for my mirage...
since they can take out those features, for sure they can put it back also right? u guys think we can make like a hardware upgrade for our mirage so they can have those features...

btw, just sign aggrement for grey mica mirage with full accessories..accessories included in loan amount..2.5% with Hong Leong..
*
auto fold side mirror, eco sign...definitely they cut it
AS&G are only available in some only...not sure which
ESP however will only be available in australian model..other asian country will not have
auto fold side mirror easy, go accessories shop can be done
eco sign i think if the ppl in mitsu have, they can actually program it into the ECU
the AS&G however isn't so easy

Yup there is no illumination to aid you shifting your gear at low light environment. Need to memorize lah.. sometimes I felt the interior a bit dark when driving at night. I also turned off the Kenwood audio color changing function as it distracts me a lot everytime the color changes. Just leave it to Orange.. tongue.gif
*
can change one meh?
how?

Every EPS I've tried, City, Civic, Grand Livina, all of them are awesome at slow speed in city drive. Go to the highway at 110kph however, I need more concentration just to drive straight. It is like driving in PC without force feedback. I don't like EPS.

My brother (who owns the Honda City) says he has no problem with the EPS. He can drive on the highway for hours no problem. I guess it it just getting used to EPS.
*
there is no problem with EPS actually
its just..its not as GREAT as hydraulic only
and yes..at low speed, its easy to use
yesterday i just test it, this car/EPS is highly easy to maneuver in parking lot

i think this is not the main reason, proton or perodua suffer they wont care, what gov care about is how many penny that can earn from every car, if not how to achieve RM7b tax income per year?  laugh.gif
*
yup..ppl have to know
the money went to gov, not p1 or p2
plus, p1 isn't under gov already, its sold to DRB already
becuz of those tax thingy, those manufacturer have to cut off a few "unnecessary" thing to lower the price so its acceptable to ppl here and at the same time be competitive with other brand's car
they could actually bring in the GLS Ltd if they want..the one with touchscreen but then it would cost like 70k
and 70k price tag with clash with certain car which will make this car hard to sell

Of coz.. go to the setting, display, bla bla bla.. or just read the manual. It's all there.. if not mistaken it should be more than 20+ colors to choose and orange is color #23.

Just wondering.. found this on my Mirage.

ok...here my 1st actual FC
i didn't use it until it blinks
but left 2 bar just now and i went to pump full
the pump stopped at RM44.90 thn i pump a little extra to RM45
RM45 = 23.684L
on the trip meter, it says 421KM
so the FC is 17.775KM/L OR 5.626L/100KM
(50% highway, 50% city) and this is when i'm not used to the CVT...sometime rev and holding it at 2.5-3k RPM
