you mean this? This was the extreme battery test i was requesting earlier to push the limits to the max. So we know whats the average usage of the battery life.
*
Woohoo 7h on single charge...well, completely portable all day computing (media consumption rather).

It iwll be interesting to have an experiment where you use this as your main machine.

Testcase:
BT keyboard of preferred size
JumpDesktop or Teamviewer or similar
Leave your laptop on somehwere.
Walk around whole day and do work with the above setup..
Or maybe use Kingsoft Office on Note for content creation.

I've been meaning to try this, but haven't got a BT kb.

Anyone tried this scenario?

Here another sample for those that wanna see

Photos are untouched and not edited straight from phone
Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Nokia 808 Pureview

Pardon my lack of artistic insight, but I was expecting the Pureview shot to blow me away (eg sharper fur, can see the pores on the nose etc).....

Or was it cause it was shot at 8mp??

if u looks closely the pureview perform better look at the noise performance, contrast and sharpness overall.
*
Ah yes, "if you look closely".....

Appreciate that. I suppose for most people, they don't look closely, so "good enough" is good enough??

indeed for them is captured is okay. If you captured sufficient details for future for any purpose of editing, sharing it does make a difference.

i try another day. Next time u try go capture a photo of a hyper active dog and see with two different phones u will understand.

One do not have burst shot and the other have.
*
BTW, how did u manage to snap an uncaged bird up that close???

RIP Symbian

Nokia puts Symbian out to pasture ... why not release it into the wild?

Symbian is now in 'maintenance mode', and Belle FP2 was its last ever update, Nokia Developer support is telling devs.

This is hardly a surprise, but official confirmation of any kind has been elusive.

It is normal when is ap set. Mine come from Spain.

As long as the set is okay, nothing to worry. Welcome to android!

I read somewhere that you can always charge more with bigger voltage but not advisable. Not sure but it is said to drain the battery capacity or so...
*
Its not higher voltage coz even fruit uses std 5v.

It's wattage....higher ampere rating is fine.

Actually depends on what brand, Sandisk ? Apacer ? Adata ? Kingston ? Class 10 ? I could get around the RM 200 mark can try lower mebe RM 190. But monday only can confirm anyone interested ?  tongue.gif
*
My understanding of the market for such commodity items is that the margins are really low on this stuff, so at best we might get 190. Might be worthwhile for some, might be worthwhile for some to hang out and browse at LYP for the heck of the social experience.

Hi all, would like to check on any of your experiences with Omega v4. I'm thinking of flashing that tonight and doing the relevant RTFM on xda.

Thanks

Sorry to ask this but this was one of the reasons I left android about 2-3 years back.

If I download and install an APK not meant for Note II size of 5.55", what happens? Do I get a black line on the screen?

Back then I downloaded a trial game for HTC Legend and installed on HTC Desire. Game resolution turned out ugly. Wonder if the same problem still persist today.

Depends on the app developer. If they follow Google's contemporary DPI independent design guidelines, it should be fine.

It's not much different from letterboxing in IOS.

I got mine for RM 219 from Sri Computer. I know it is expensive but ALL IT and Viewnet have no more 64GB. doh.gif
But I swiped with my OCBC Titanium card, so can get at least 1% discount. laugh.gif
That's about RM 217. Moreover, I went with my colleague so didn't want to delay our dinner plan. tongue.gif

I remember when I paid RM200 for 1Gb........

Oh... Resale value wise...

Bad for current owners, good for future owners biggrin.gif
*
Well, if resale value is so bad, keep it as spare. With quadcore + OC and 2gb RAM, surely someone will find something innovative like run Ubuntu on it. Maybe even Virtualbox your WinXP........

My Atom netbook is 1.6GHz hyperthreading (singlecore!!) and 2Gb RAM with cacat 945GC Intel graphics...still runs serviceably.

Yeah, those old timers on LYN will know how hardcore I was when it comes to TVB series. TVB queen on LYN, was upon a time.

Now working already, rarely have time to sleep. Apatah lagi TVB series. sad.gif

You've got a new baby, lagi less time to sleep for first few months. rolleyes.gif

After work is fine haha. Since it's MNC and virtual teams, you know how times can be like.

At least this baby doesn't wake you up for milk in the middle of the night.

what is causing the mediaserver thing to drain battery?
*
Could be some filenames gila (Chinese characters, funny characters).

Do a wipe data of the Media Storage, reboot and see.

Settings>Apps>All>Media Storage
Force stop, Disable, Clear data
Reboot.

Check again if running after reboot, then see if drain still occurs.
Install Better Battery Stats from the xda thread and also CPUSpy free.
Helps.
