Hi guys. Bad news. My Mazda 3 left rear window got broken last night at Taman Desa. Because my tint is the anti-shatter kind, they had to crowbar the metal panel holding the glass. So now my glass has been smashed and taken out, and my metal panel is bent a little. Where do u guys suggest to repair everything?

Hi guys. I'm driving the mazda 3 sedan 2.0 and got fed up with the the loud tyre noise la.. Anybody did anything to reduce the tyre sound or sound proofing the car? I read in some forum that u can use autofoam @ soundproofing mat (Dynamat @ Mohawk) to reduce the noise but was it effective or not?

tyre noise is a very tricky and subjective issue

usual treatment for tyre noise would be by applying a layer of STP thingy at the wheel arch

Review i heard from ppl , some say it is so so, some is happy , but there are cases where they don't really feel any different

At the end of the day , it is a very subjective issue, and for those who complained wasn't effective ( certain car makes ) they recommended other member's to get the tyre change thumbup.gif

Do check out our fb page for sp promo, of course, we are tackling the door and engine most..

Engine is a must , affordable, why? even if u dun complain about the loud noise, doing a layer would protect ur front hood from fading color in a long run wink.gif

Hey guys is it advisable to change from stock 205/55R16 to 215/45R17 on my m3 1.6 HB? Really like this set of 17" Rays rims. Anything important to consider? Does not void warranty right increasing by an inch? Thanks in advance

All New Skyactiv M3, only 2.0cc CBU ll reached Msia market soon.
Current smilling Face ll still continue but 1.6cc
Meaning to say, those who purchase current 2.0cc ll look fresh 1.6cc when 2.0 skyactiv launched

CBU (Complete Build Up)
It is imported
Normally the 1st batch production ll be produced in the origin country, such as:
1) Mazda CX5, Mazda 6 (Japan)
2) Mazda 3 (2009-2010 Japan) & (2011-2013 CKD Malaysia)
3) VW Passat & Passat CC (German)
4) Peugeot 408 & 508 (France)
5) KIA K3 (Korea)
6) Hynday (Korea)
7) Lotus (London CBU)

Aft sometimes, the company ll switch to lower production cost.
Some of the government like Thailand implementing good policy to attaract FDI (Foreign Direct Investment), Thailand, nowadays turn Bangkok as Hub of Autombile Industry, taken over our place & assemble such models to export to the neighbor countries including Msia:
1) Toyota Altis (till now)
2) Honda City (till now)
3) Toyota Camry (2006-2011)
4) Toyota current SUV (Indo)
Other models like Vios, Camry, Civic, CRV & many more also produced in Thailand, that is Y they are faster then us (example All New Vios they launched quite long times but we ll have it on Oct 2013)

Basically, CBU vs CKD are:
1) Build up quality (Japan's operators VS Malaysia's operators)
2) QC level (rejection), matter of closed 1 eyes & closed 2 eyes
3) Tax Structure (Export Tax, Excise Tax & Sale Tax)
i) If made in Japan, Korea, German, France & other (high tax, bcoz they are threat to us)
ii) If AFTA countries (Asean Free Trade Area), 11 neighbor countries involved such Thailand, lower tax due to AFTA.

CKD (Complete Knock Down)
Government imposse excise tax & sale tax where the price ll be slightly lower, example
1) Mazda3 (2.0) CBU (2009-2010) RM135K VS CKD (2011-2013) RM120K (Diff in price & quality)
2) Peugeot 408 & 508, price drop as well as Build up quality
3) Passat now CKD RM174K (previously CBU German RM185K)
4) CX5 (2012 CBU Japan vc 2013 CKD Msia) Price vs Quality
5) KIA CBU Korea & CKD Msia (Build up quality, more or less the same = Gangnam style)
5) Camry 2012 (CBU Thai) & Camry 2013 (CKD Msia),
quality & tax abt the same, AFTA apply, 11 countries signed lower tax.
6) Honda Civic, Accord CKD (Melaka Plant)
7) Mazda 3 & CX5 (Kedah Plant)
8) Vios & Camry (Shah Alam Plant)
9) Avanza (Rawang Perodua Plant, bcoz Perodua major share own by Toyota Daihatsu)
10) Proton (Totally Msia)

Y CKD Price still high?
bcoz high sale tax & also excise tax (compare Labuan & Langkawi free duty price)
Y Langkawi Lancer is lower price compared to Inspira?
Mass production, economic skill = Lancer enjoy lower price but inspira (small production & high cost)
Main land, tax makes the price difference to support Proton.

Hope this explainantion can give u better picture of CKD & CBU
