First of all, Congratulations on V4! Now i know you guys have already been discussing about tyres.. but the post are hard to find. So dont mind me asking again.

Mine is CKD stock tyres Dunlop 215/45R17. Currently the road noise for this tyre is really unbearable, unless i'm going on a nicely newly paved tar road, the road noise is like a constant vibration to my ears. It is so loud it drowned the sound of my music. I hope someone here understands what i'm trying to say. haha..

I'm thinking of changing a new sets of tyres without compromising the low profile sporty look i'm currently having. Is that possible? Comfort tires are usually thicker making the rims look smaller right? I prefer a tyre that produces less (Much less) road noise but still look sporty. help me out guys. Sorry bros for asking such noob questions. Highly appreciated anyone that can shed some light for me.

Thanks!

Hi guys,

Need a recommendation for Car paint shop. My 6 months old Mazda 3 2.0 (silver) was knocked by a motorbike, denting the rear door and back panel, with some deep scratches. Wasnt able to identify the MB ( who was clearly in the wrong, anyways he sped off vmad.gif  ). Went to dent repairs (www.dent.com.my) @ Puchong, was told the dent is irreparable with their tools and was advised to go paint shop to get it done. Here are my questions:

1) Should I bring back to Mazda SC for body repair + paint job, or just go to a regular car paint shop to get it done?
2) Need recommendation for car paint shop - good price with good handiwork
3) Will this void my warranty if I were to bring it to a non authorised paint shop?

Thanks to all sifus who are willing to help.... icon_question.gif

cheers

Got mine slightly dented like yours at the back, probably by irresponsible ppl at the car park denting it with their opening of car door. i was devastated and look for solutions online. hair dryer, dry ice bla bla bla... doesnt work.

I can roughly tell u the price for re-painting. Earlier this year, i got my car and drove it for about 2 months and i took it to G'Zox auto detailing at sunway for a good waxing and shining.. When i went to collect my car.. i found piece of paint chipped off next to my headlamp area.. i stood there in shock and went to ask what happened, i can see it from a few meters away and the guy denied it saying it was like that since i came. A few more checks around the car and i found massive paint chip off at the right side back door handle (obviously from their waxing machine), the manager called up the paint shop behind and asked for a price quotation.

Just the front, about the size of a 5 cents coin.. he quoted RM200.. i dunno if it was abit ridiculous for that price or it was standard but i just didnt care cause G'Zox covered it.

Anyway.. for your info.. I heard from professional.. after u repaint your car or repaint any small part of your car.. you have to re-wax your car to remove the paint or chemical residue.

If anybody knows a good price for fixing problems like ours. Please. do share. thank you smile.gif

I have rattling sound coming from my dashboard or front windscreen. Problem is it does not happen all the time... sometimes it's there sometimes not..... 30k service coming soon, gonna ask them to check...
*
Sent my car to Glenmarie service center twice to fix the rattling noise at the right side, seat belt compartment area.. when going on bumpy road, there will be a "tik tik tik" sound coming from inside. Checked before, not the placement of the seatbelt buckle. Anyway.. sent in once, they said they placed sponge inside, still there sound was there, only lesser. Brought in second time.. they said they fixed it.. yet.. the sound is still there. But i consider myself very lucky cause 10 months driving it.. there's the only area with rattling noise.

One more thing.. they rotated my tires front to back and now making noise above 80 to 90km/h and above. Something like a constant high pitch "wooooooo". Took it back to service center.. they say nothing can be done.. tires needed to change.. but its only 10 months.. is this normal?

Not sure whether changing tires within 10 months is normal or not. I did change all 4 tires in less than 10 months time... Around 25k mileage that time. I noticed that there were 2 of my stock Dunlop tires already slightly bengkak, "pregnant"... better be safe than sorry....

What's ur mileage bro? Speed a lot?
*
Mileage = 22K
Speed = 80 to 120km on an average
Tires = Dunlop 215/45/R17

Front tires Corner rings botak and one side pregnant too. SC told me tire bengkak cannot claim. need to change for safety reasons. What tires did you change to? Cause the current one giving hell lots of road noise. It is unbearable..

Recently i went to check out the Mazda3 facelift. Very very good offer compared to last year i bought mine. even sedan 1.6 comes with a touch screen. The touch screen was very clear and bright. barely pixelated and the touch were quite responsive. But a few things i've noticed, the interior fittings were not as firm and tight as our batch. Maybe its just my opinion or that showroom car problem.

The glove compartment couldn't open softly, as i need to jerk down abit to open entirely. Soft padding at the sides of the door produces squeaky sound my elbow were placed on it and why did Mazda remove the silver panel around the shift stick area? sad.gif The fabric seat material became something like what Toyota or Honda would give and not the good quality ones that was in the mazda 3.

Oh, i've been told by the SA that we are able to make bookings for Mazda6 already and the car should be arriving on January or so. Roadshows gonna be held this month they said. Isnt it exciting. XD

Hiya everyone, I got my Mazda 3 1.6 hatchback CKD June last year. It is the model before the current facelift. Just done my 10K service. Here is the problem I noticed with my car:

1. Tick tick tick sound heard randomly from the front passenger side especially on bumpy roads and on slow speed (20-60km/h). Complained to SC. They checked but the problem still persists.

2. Minor noise from the driver's door near the door handle area. Gonna ask them to check in the next service.

3. Noise from the back. I checked myself it was because the 3rd brake light cover is not completely clicked-in. It looked like it is secured but it's not. Need to press very hard until the click sound is heard. After this, the noise is gone. Suspect is the tint shop didn't secure it properly.

4. Front absorber/suspension has the nyek nyek sound when going through the bumper. The last SC said the absorber has leakage. It was under warranty and they changed it for me with no charge. But they didn't give me to sign anything after changing it. The nyek nyek sounds are still there. Going to bring it to anoother SC to check again.

5. The gearbox - sometimes in D mode when changing gear 1 to 2 it has this what sounds like a brisk drumming sound. Gonna send in the SC and ask them to check the gearbox.

My questions are:
Has anyone experienced #5 and what are the solutions if you have fixed it.

For #4, do you guys experience the nyek nyek sound from the front absorber/suspension? Or is it normal?
*
Mine is CKD 2012 2.0L

#1 - Tick tick sound from passenger side. I tot it was coming from the Seat belt area. Took to SC many times. still cant fix it. In the end, i found out myself that the rattling sound was coming from the seat belt buckle, where you insert the seat belt into it. When the car is moving, that thing will rattle and hit on the plastic panel at the side. This was my case.

#2 - Happened before. Disappeared after a while.

#4 - No nyek nyek sound happened before. Get the sc to sit in the car with you. sometimes they just take the car in and you have no idea what they are doing behind.

#5 - I am experiencing this. When accelerate from slow speed, there will be some minor tin dragging sound, or as you said it, brisk drumming sound. for about 1 second plus. I've mentioned this to the sc before. nothing fixed or found out. My suggestion, get the sc to sit in with you in the car and let them hear it.

My experience with Bermaz Service was terrible throughout my whole year of driving the car. I have no idea why their knowledge were not sufficient to rectify even the simplest problem. There was one time I took my car for servicing due to "BURNT SMELL" coming out from the aircon when i accelerate medium hard and some rattling noise problem. Took it to sc with appointment made at 9am, gave me back my car at 12.30pm told me to go back and come again next time as there were too many cars and could not fix my car in time.

Went back for another appointment and they gave me another car to drive while they fix the "BURNT SMELL" problem for 2 days. Took my car back, the problem still persisted.

I have done far too many complaints with Bermaz, and they show no care or concern over their name sake. I am tired of their services already.

The Mazda 6 is launching soon, with mouth-watering specs and are so irresistible. My bro's gonna get his next car soon and the thought of suggesting the Mazda6 to him held me back because of the bad bad after sales. What is a good car when you got a shitty service after that?

I can't guarantee we can fix your problem, but if you send your car in to our SC, we will try to have a look at it again and diagnose as best as we can.
*
Federal Highway and Glenmarie SC are the worst. But those 2 are the most convenient and time consuming for me. Bookings were made, did not even diagnose the car and they can have the guts to tell me to go back and come again next time because of "too many cars, no time". These are absolutely unprofessional way of handling matters.

Hi guys,

Anyone removed their Rear view mirror on their Mazda3 2.0 before? I have a unit of rearview mirror with auto dimming and built-in camera. I would like to replace it with the current, but when i took it to the workshop, they tried but failed to remove it due to the placement of auto rain and auto light sensors. Anybody can help with this? Thanks smile.gif

From our experience, 70% when u remove that, the windscreen will crack.
*
Well, not removing the whole leg that holds the rear view mirror. but just remove the rearview mirror alone ? without removing the leg that attached on the windscreen?

ps. I am reaching my 30K service soon. I will give sg.besi SC for a change this time. I have a few issues to address before going there. That is "burnt smell coming out from the air con when accelerate hard. Any experiences on that? tq very much.

I'm really unsure since I personally have not experienced just removing the rear mirror. Will have to check your accessory & technical side.

As for burnt smell coming from Air-cond, if its been going on for a long time, I suggest you bring it in to any SC ASAP.
*
Brought to Glenmarie SC before. Sent in for 3 days. They claim they fixed it. smell still coming in. First the service manager ASSURED me it was the cooling coil problem and said he will order in the parts. Nobody called me after that, Then when i brought it back the next few days, no mention of cooling coil at all and the manager was no where to be seen.

This is on the right meter cluster. I found out our usual Fog lamp ON indicator. Would like to ask what the indicator on top? another lamp symbol. And below is DSC OFF. Which we got no way to turn it off.

Attached Image

This is on the left cluster. It shows AFS, i guess is Adaptive Front lighting System. which doesnt come with our car, the middle would be a car symbol and the bottom (AT)

After so long, i only realised, only my fog lamp indicator lighted up before. lols

Hi guys. Bad news. My Mazda 3 left rear window got broken last night at Taman Desa. Because my tint is the anti-shatter kind, they had to crowbar the metal panel holding the glass. So now my glass has been smashed and taken out, and my metal panel is bent a little. Where do u guys suggest to repair everything?
