Hey everyone. I'm sorry if this isn't quite relevant to the thread, but has anyone had any experience with BHphoto's return/warranty policy? I'm planning to buy a refurbished camera from there.

While I know that BHPhoto's reputation is impeccable, I hear that there's always a small risk of defects in refurbs and I'm quite concerned having to foot the bill for shipping in the event that I have to return the item to them. Would they help pay for the return shipping or at least offset the cost somewhat?

Any chances to join in: plan to get Celestron Regal spotting scope from amazon. Weight probably 2kg and less. Does this get taxed?

I always buy used product from BHP. Some do have problem and you can easily return it.
Cost of fedex economy back to them is about rm100/kg. Takes 5 days to reach new york.

If the reason for a return is our error or a product that's defective out-of-the-box we cover return shipping, usually via a pre-paid UPS label for domestic transaction. If the reason for the return is you changed your mind or you don't like the color, the return cost is on you.

Hey! Just wanna ask, is it safe to get a canon 70-200 f2.8 IS II from them during their April rebates? I mean, shipping RM6k+ worth of stuff is quite worrisome

All shipping packages are insured, you can double check and confirm with BHPhoto.
Our Admin - goldfries bought a lot of stuffs from BHPhoto, included expensive lenses (>RM10000), you can PM him as well to check.
