haiyo, why you do not want to host 5 actually, how you calculate the shipping cost? example, you bhphoto impose $100 for entire shipping, how to divide into each members?

For small stuffs like filter, sd card... I will charge US$4 for each small items.
The remaining balance will be equally divide by lens buyers.
If got ppl buy very heavy stuff like DSLR, heavy lens, they will need to pay more for sure.

I will PM you my Excel sheet here for calculation and i put the weight as reference too.

about the tax impose during entry to msia country, the bill will state clear which item are taxed which are not? if tax imposed, need to pay to the corriour? and how do you distribute items back to members? use poslaju, F2F?

i am from kulim. i guess the items will be distribute via poslaju once receive. unless you able come to kulim to meet me. if I distribute via poslaju, you need to pay for the poslaju cost.

i expected i received full payment only i place ordered. for the rest of calculation, waits for philipc advise. if taxed impose on your item, you need to clear the tax payment b4 i ship your item.

Either COD or Poslaju, depend on how you want to handle. If you are kind enough, you can help to poslaju, of course, buyer will pay the postage fee. If F2F then much easier.

For the tax, the tax invoice will list down the taxed item and amount clearly, so the buyer will pay the taxed amount for their item.
Another payment is the disbursement fee, RM25 which need to pay to UPS as handling fee for the custom clearance if any item got tax. Then the RM25 should be equally divided by those buyer who got tax. UPS will help to handle the tax and pay on behalf and you will pay to the courier boy.

we can calculate based on:
1) value of the item & prorate accordingly
2) weight of the item & prorate accordingly

faint.... some want fair /prorate shipping cost, some revise the list. better i bought my own. just pay extra $30, peace of mind. does not need to think about follow up work.

You are the host, if they don't agree, don't join.
You decide and set expectation.

Btw, $30 is A lot to me man

to me is not thing, since i bought the umbrella alone locally also got almost that gap.

do you call to your credit card bank for the latest currency exchange rate? or you are referring to the online currencies converter?

Currency rate based on posting date, which is after the fact. Therefore bank cannot tell you the exact currency to be charged before you spend.

Use 3.1 is good enough for now.
