can...if your poly is big size why not...every once per week feed no problem. else you feed feeder fish and put for 1 week food supply this is what i do actually..for pellet feeder i used auto/timer.

Small nia laa. Bio ball for wat actually? Nid to put hw much carbon? @@ ur arrangement start with sponge first?
*
yup...sponge first. but i using the rough sponge type as the top layer than used the cheap sponge, bio ball i put as much as it can fitted lo but make sure the water flow must be ok else overflow might happen. laugh.gif if you didn monitor the filter especially using the cheap sponge only without using the rough sponge (used for koi)

Casualty in turtle tank :

user posted image

Casualty in turtle tank : The pump wire being bitten by Fly the PNT. Naughty guy indeed. When i touched the water, it feels like an electric shock! I tried several times and still the same. Sheesh.. it hurts. Surprisingly the PNT and all feeder fishes seem normal, no sign of stress let alone shocks.

I tried to nurse the wounded wire by applying thick tapes, but to no avail, still feels electricity in water. Well, maybe its time for a new pump. Or i'll just use normal powerhead pump (for top filters). Lower flowrate though  sad.gif

used the cable tape which is water resistant wan bro...but hard to get la.

Kk. Btw, how often do u chg ur filter media?  And hw often do you vacuum ur tank bottom?
*
that's also depends on your setup, size of tanks, types of fish in your tank. for me only change the soft sponge if dirties and causing the overflow of the filter. other than that just change the water and on water only. laugh.gif . if too lazy want to change like filter media and etc then i'll move to aquaphonic setup less cost and eat vege free nia. brows.gif
