You might want to read from Mechanical Keyboard Club V1 to kick-start your researching on those mechanical keyboards and their feedbacks.
I did that. That's why I chose Filco and CM Rapid (both Costar made).

FYI, Filco and Rosewill not from same manufacturer.

For your information, Filco Majestouch series and Rosewill RK9000 series are made by Costar. Rosewill RK9100 illuminated is by i-rocks.

Has anyone seen this? It looks good, but seems REALLY low compare to normal keycaps.

CM Storm Trigger has pretty standard layout. You should be able to put aftermarket keycaps set on it.

If you buy a PBT keycap set from Kaiserreich, you can get a wire keypuller from the set as well. smile.gif

FKBN104M/EB2 Majestouch 2 Brown switch

You might feel the legends on the top-printed keycap if your fingers are sensitive.

For the switch feel, should be the same.

i am looking for buying a filco with cex in lowyat garage sales. anyone here buy with him be4 ? trustful?
*
Recently had a bad experience with him and his unreasonably bad attitude. I would never buy anything from him anymore.

Maybe it is just my bad luck to get a faulty Filco board. But since most agree that Filco has good build quality, you can go ahead purchasing one from him.

Hello guys~ i'm thinking to get a new mechanical keyboard cos the keyboard that i'm using now is totally...not a 'keyboard'... sad.gif  hope can get some advises~

I had just read some of the pages from this thread, watch reviews on some keyboards, read some simple articles. And the result of my choice are Corsair K60/K90. I like K90! it suits my taste! but then the price is abit...e.x.p.e.n.s.i.v.e =( i couldn't imagine that i spend RM500 just for a keyboard *heartbroke*  rclxub.gif
K60 is good but then...no backlight.(maybe its not an issues =/)

Do you guys has any suggestions for this poor guy? =(
i'm looking for keyboards like:-
-got numpad on right hand side.
-F1-F12 no stack with media control functions.(like k60/k90 they got special media control function on right top of it)
-backlight (just preferable)
-budget RM200 to RM300 +-

i know also the K60/k90 keyboard has 2 different switches but those switches(f1-f12 and pr/sc those)are very very rarely use area.(for me) so i guess its not a problem for me, i'm not so that overall type. =/
SteelSeries 6gv2 i like this model too, but the media control thinggy issue that it stack with F1-12.
CM Storm also not a bad choice, but still the media control thinggy and it looks abit messy on F1-F12 cos too many drawings on them... if CM Storm, maybe i'll choose Quick Fire PRO(the numpad). but i see alot of good reviews on Quick Fire Rapid...i don't know why...

Maybe other brands i dint knew about, hope can get good respond from here. and thanks thanks thanksss for giving patient to read this mess... = )
*
Well although you are okay with hybrid rubberdome and mechanical switch keyboard, but you see, for a price like that, you spend so much but you don't get a full mechanical switch keyboard... Worthy or not, I don't need to answer that for you right? rolleyes.gif

Besides, using media functions with FN key isn't that big issue anyway.

CM Storm QuickFire Rapid and CM Storm Trigger are good choices, avoid QuickFire Pro.

Also, what's the most important is that you need to find out which MX switch suits you the best. You can do that in shops that has demo units that you can try on.
Don't simply follow the "gaming" bandwagon, but find something that is for you yourself.

what happened to your FILCO??? you also got your Filco Blue switch from Cex? i also got my Filco yellow brown switch from him.... only dealt with him once, not sure his attitude towards after sales service... yet...
*
I think there was something wrong with the cable, whenever I move the cable, the connection just simply cut off. Have to twist the cable in certain direction then can connect the keyboard... sweat.gif

Then sent back for RMA, waited for 3 weeks then he say the keyboard ready already. Paid the shipping for him to ship back, wait another week again for him to reply. After that when I received the keyboard, found that it is MX Brown doh.gif
... I got a little anxious then I send him like 2 emails about the issue (also politely asking him to improve a bit), what I get back is a reply like "just return to replace", "stop sending emails about improving aftersales service and look at the calendar before you email, we don't work on weekends"... Seriously shakehead.gif

Then I was like okay, ship back again... Then for some reason the Poslaju cannot deliver the keyboard to him, 2 times, both on weekdays (I doubt he also close shop on weekdays notworthy.gif )
Then email him again to tell him about this, he say will go collect. Then one whole week no news from him... Email him again then he tell me MX Blue no stock... shakehead.gif Kinda fed up already then I ask for refund sweat.gif

Anyway, I am now considering Rosewill RK9000, Ducky S2, CM Trigger, CM Rapid, or KBT One/Oni... hmm.gif

wa..... like that really like two face sellers..... very polite before sales and sleazy and rude after sales....
I bought my filco for collection purposes so i never opened it before, so not sure about mine whether got problem or not.... bought it early this year though....

I see... so considering new blue switch board? RK9000 is one solid board, plus it got 2 cables, in case like this situation where the cable is the culprit, can still change into another cable to use first.... plus got 3 years warranty, a very good deal for RM300.

KBT Oni i heard from you that it is made by Costar and had been using cherry style stabilizers intrigued me alot...
would consider that also as a good choice  hmm.gif
*
Yeah the 3 year warranty kinda attracted me... Maybe I should wait for Heavyarm restock first tongue.gif

Not much review of KBT One/Oni about the feel difference of the stabilizers... Also a bit scared of getting faulty keyboard again... It would be a pain for the RMA process.. sweat.gif

Good choice. It has red plate, not red backlit lol.

Spend some time with it and you may like the tenkeyless size. My daily driver now is CM Rapid MX Red too smile.gif
