Realforce, it is a brand of keyboard that using the Topre Capacitive Switch,

Keyboard sticker, some rough google and you will know what it is. There are really lots available in the market, try a search in garage sale and you will know it.

But is she the perfectionist type of ppl? If so might as well prepare another RM200-300 and go for the official aftermart keycaps (but some might not like the color, and black color also only got black fonts). Take a look again at my previous post for the link.

LOL, you are probably the one whom most prompt to get mech kb after taking all these poisons from here.

Added on December 25, 2012, 10:15 pmThats depend. Because the one you saw above is official merchandize for Realforce, which is well-known for the price.

Somemore, the market for Realforce aftermart keycaps are much much smaller compared to Cherry MX siwtch, thus it should be treated as a niche product, thus the high price.

BTW, RM100-RM120 is pretty decent/OK for a full set of PBT key caps for Cherry MX. Though, the black on black sub-dyed PBT from Kai is of even higher value. Details you better ask him yourself.

Generally, we tok about size, profile and height (and of course the right stem at the first place).

Size:
It is pretty standardised even the same as those normal fullsize non-mech kb out there. We call those single sized keys (like W, A, cursor keys and so on) 1X unit sized. Those modifier keys (alt, ctrl and so on) are normally (applied for mech kb, as non-mech kb usually had their own standard) 1.25X or some 1.5X. All other larger sized keys like tab, caps lock, enter, shift and so on also had their own predefined size.

Profile:
Normally for mech kb, we only care about DCS profile. At some rare case, some brands may be using uni-profile or some weird customised profile.

Height:
For the same DCS profile, different OEMs/brands also had their own height. But usually it won't be too much a issue as most of them are around the same. The lowest one in DCS profile should be Cherry (brand) keyboards which is around 2mm lower compared to most other OEMs.

Owai, all those LED died in a go? And they are in a cluster? I suspect that there may be something wrong with the PCB or the circuit of it.

Found the answer, it simply is the effect of passing through colored keycaps.

Try remove or reseat those keys you mentioned and see if it improve. If not, RMA may be your best option if you are not willing to loss the warranty yet.

lol, I not received my stuff yet.
Speechless on the skynet service at my area. Since ytd morning, thy set the status to held in branch.
I waited patiently till morning just now, see no update at all, then I decided to call them.

1st called asked the details and said will call me back, then hung up.

After an hour seeing no reply, I made 2nd call and they say currently lunch hour, can't check....

Now, 3pm I gave them 3rd call, they confirmed the status of my parcel but didn't explain why the delay (my guess is that in my area no much ppl use them this few day, thus they accumulating first), but reply me they will deliver on Monday. I said that Monday morning can't and they replied that they can't set the time... Since Tuesday is a public holiday, so it is not an option, I then ask why 2moro can't, and they say 2moro only specific area.

In the end, they forced me to collect it myself probably 2moro morning... Really feel unsafe to let the parcel stay at their place for a longer time... Who know what more weird things they will come out with their lvl 99999 troll power.

yup, all (except space at, which is harder to find suitable replacement) of them are standard size and layout, just that it is not possible to find those exact same fonts/legends replacement as it utilize its own shortcut/combination keys.

That probably means all of them came from a same OEM, LOL.

Welcome to the world of mech kb, where most random gaming brands can popped out a gaming mech kb from nowhere thanks to those OEM mech kb makers.

In short, most gaming mech boards are made by OEM, which the quality can be subjected to change as they change the OEM.

LOL, later they figured that isn't geeky/nerdy enough, and they implement a gaming version of datahand...

Rumor said that full mech version of it is coming soon.

The noisy is because of using MX Blue I guess?

If so then your next board should be MX Brown/Black (MX Red is too soft for a lot ppl to not bottom out, thus tend to produce lots noise also), since they are not clicky switch and will be more silent (but mind you it can't be completely silent if you tend to bottom out the keys when you type).
