Thanks for that. I just want to reconfirm actually. I mean if I move all the game folders (for example) from internal to external manually or using TB no problem? Sorry if I make you blur
TB will just restore back your stuffs back to where your files are originally Moving game folders will not work as the location of the game data is dictated by the game developer There are hacks in the web to do such stuffs but it does not work for all games
Thanks for the info. So this means Malaysia LTE is using different MHz compared to those offered by the N7105 LTE models in other countries and cannot be used, only the 2G and 3G
All Msian telcos for LTE is 2600 Mhz spectrum. Main reason also why the iphone 5 ( on 1800 Mhz ) is literally useless on its 4G network here - it works only in certain Spore telcos and that also restricted to certain coverage areas only So if you want to buy LTE model make sure it support 2600 Mhz so that you can use it when LTE is available here. If not you will just be stuck at 3G/H+
Benny, u are on wanam rite? Can you try whether ur S pen keeper is working? Apparently my friend tried mine ysrday and it didnt beep or have any kind of warning.
It is definitely working when i was on it I am now on latest msian rom XXALJ3
None so far Anyway i am not yet impressed with any of the custom roms so far - have tested Wannam and Android HD revolution. These 2 developers are well renown in SGS3. No significant advantages besides being deodexed and benchmark performance is lower and battery life also slight higher at about 1% for most activities. Both i'd say still loses out to the stock rom. First time i see a stock rom better than custom roms
Hi guys, please PM alieamin for more info. I don't want to jeopardize his sale. I once kena helping ppl get price, in the end some unknown ppl call me and scold me kaw kaw..... sorry............ I only can say it cheaper than RRP.
Exactly correct. It is not proper to disclose prices you received from PM those interested can always PM him. He has different price structure and of course his regular buyers always get a better price
I wouldn't mind paying in advance full price if it is him I'm dealing with.
+1 . I always pay him in full and i get it the next day thro courier - best online SME seller to date. BTW he is SEP seller and has several sales outlets in KL and Klang. The day he sent out, the same day i receive Samsung SMS warranty confirmation
I bought an AP yesterday and it has no official update for multiview yet? is that normal?
Only firmware ending in XXALJ1 has multi windows Only countries that have updated roms XXALJ1 you can update OTA If you wish, just flash in PC using Odin ANY country rom that ends in XXALJ1 I last check sammobile.com/firmware there are now 30+ countries have this update You can also flash Msian latest rom XXALJ3 if you wish to have this feature
Hi All. New AP 16GB White owner here. Got it from directd yesterday night
Looks like the set is from a region where Multi-View firmware has not been roll out:
AP: N7100XXALIH CP: N7100XXALIH CSC N7100OJVALIA
Some of quick question to all that know: 1) Is it safe to update firmware using Malaysia ending with XXALJ1 via Odin? 2) Do I need to change CSC to Malaysia (XME) or I can just leave it be?
Yes it is safe to flash any country rom xxalji If you want msian rom might as well use latest xxajl3 No need to concern about csc
Just want to confirm, is it necessary to flash both mods (extfat and fat32)? In general, what is the role of perseus kernel for this mod?
You flash only one that matches your external sd card format Perseus kernel has init.d ( go google if you dunno what is this) while stock kernel do not have Go read the xda thread to understand better
For those AP sets here is msian modem DXALJI. Download it from my box https://www.box.com/shared/skx253t6b2ibavc4j4fw Flash this zip from recovery mode No need to wipe anything If you have swapped your ext sdcard to be internal sdcard unswap it first or your phone will hang Those who upgraded to msian rom from European rom your modem is still European
Guys..to those who have flash M'sia firmware that got multi view..does Polaris app also comes pre-install..? Thanks
YES

Haha, You working in Singapore also ah bro? well, just wait until Maxis release it la. The more i browse the info about Note 2, the more i buey tahan. Furthermore, if get now less selection of casing and accessories.
I am sure you will love it since you are so concerned about battery life Very sure you will stop talking about battery life, kernels and roms after you have got it

Does europe modem affect anything? Because I just flashed the ROM to Malaysia but did not touch the modem.
Thanks.
Some users think having a Msian modem is better since we are using Msian telcos Infact so far i do not find any significant differences between local Asian modems vs Europe. I have been using european modems on my s2, s3, and note Having a Asian modem might probably help especially in areas of low coverage. If you are happy with current modem , just keep it I posted this just for those who wish to change and try
Morning all~ So far I'm facing 3 small lag issues so wanna check with u guys too :
1)Sometimes scroll thru on widgets menu 2)Sometimes after clear RAM 3)Sometimes after kill all apps frm task manager
only happen 2 me ? becuz i swap the ext 2 int -StockRom,perseus kernel,N7100XXALJ1 firmware
Practices 2 and 3 is VERY BAD and should NEVER and NOT NECESSARY. The more you do such stuffs the worse it will get. You have 2GB ram - more the reason why such tasks are not necessary. DO NOT bring your Windows OS thinking and practice over to Android OS. Google engineers has clearly said task killers are NOT necessary
I quote from Google :
By default, every application runs in its own Linux process. Android starts the process when any of the application's code needs to be executed, and shuts down the process when it's no longer needed and system resources are required by other applications. A content provider is active only while it's responding to a request from a ContentResolver. And a broadcast receiver is active only while it's responding to a broadcast message. So there's no need to explicitly shut down these components. Activities, on the other hand, provide the user interface. They're in a long-running conversation with the user and may remain active, even when idle, as long as the conversation continues. Similarly, services may also remain running for a long time. So Android has methods to shut down activities and services in an orderly way. better :
To the user who had asked earlier on, Asphalt 7 runs very well on the Note 2. Since i have swapped the ext sdcard ( 64gb) as internal SDcard, it was a big relief as the installed files ( about 1.35 GB) went into the external sdcard ( which is now internal sd after the swap)
so what happen if we already format it with our com?
the card is gone for good?
The card is already formatted as exfat by default. You can use it straight out of the box There is no reason to format it to fat32 as the Note2 recognised exfat format unlike the Note
yah, hard to decide. Now with the ability to swap internal and external memory, more dilemma.
btw, uncle Benny, the 64GB microSD card you are using to swap the memory is FAT32 or exFAT format? Thanks.
It is default exFat format The swap is working very well - so far these are the only disadvantages :
1. Burst camera mode will save all shots in external sdcard but no best shot is selected 2. You need to unswap it if you wish to flash modem 3. Flashing a new rom through recovery will remove the swap and brings it back to default
Performance wise did not see any significant differences. Phone is still as snappy and responsive. I did 3 AnTuTu benchmarks testing - it records 13500-13600 , quite similar to original stock rom. Write speeds average 10-11 Mb/s ( vs 13 on original ) while read exceed 50 mb/s ( same as stock)
saw the ori flip case at low yat jsut now..the original flip case build in "NFC" not on battery like sgs3
Naturally so as the NFC chip is on the back battery cover itself. If you are going to use the flipcase, it must have it too as you need to take out the backcase to fit it
Guys, I want to update my note2 via OTA so I can get multi windows. I click Update in the about phone section but cnanot wo.....
Have said so many times in this thread only firmware XXALJ1 will have multi windows. If your country of origin does not have XXALJI update, you will not have OTA update. So go to sammobile.com/firmware and manually download this XXALJI ( any country will do ) - if you want Msia use the latest XXALJ3 and use Odin in PC to flash it
