Dongdaemun Station Exit 6. Buy your USD here in Malaysia first.

Yes, and the money changer outside Dongdaemun Station Exit 6 provides the highest buying rate for USD i've come across. And just in case you run out of USD and only has MYR available but desperately need to exchange some KRW, this money changer at Dongdaemun buys MYR too. The exchange rate was RM2.82 = KRW1,000 when i was in Seoul three weeks ago. Most money changers in Malaysia were selling KRW1,000 for RM2.80. As you can see, the rate is quite good actually.

Alternatively, you can charge everything into your Maybank VISA or MasterCard as Maybank credit card is known to the best card for overseas use due to their unbeatable final exchange rate. I used my Maybank VISA at a few cosmetics shops, LOTTE, Shinsegae and a theater in Insadong, the lowest exchange rate was RM2.73 = KRW1,000 while the highest was RM2.741 = RM1,000 thumbup.gif rclxms.gif

1 mil yen maybe around RM38k.
Save to do so? maybe Midvalley is better cos bank is nearby already.

hmm.. another question. Anyone know what is the max limit amount of cash that can bring into Malaysia?

Hi and a very good day to all...

I'll be coming back from india and want to change Indian Rupee 20,000... from my reading here, the best places are bb plaza, MV, and also masjid india...

But, i will be travellin from KLIA to KL Sentral to Rawang... should i change in any 3 of these locations?

So, to all taiko or old timers here, where is the best place for me to change? or should i just take the LRT to masjid india and change it there? or perhaps go take monorail to BB just to exchange... really do need your advice...

Just look around KL Sentral area. Although no one reporting about the rate there. Just for convenient, willing to forfeit a little bit of $$ to change at KL Sentral more than the time you wasted + trpt cost going to BB Plaza & etc..

No point going down to Klang Valley if just few RM0.10-.020 diff..The cost of coming down not worth it.. Ended up you paying more. Just get those near you.

Klang Valley one already discussed much earlier.. Mesjid India, BB Plaza, Mid Valley, PJ-Curve..all very competitive wth differences sometime not worth the effort of time & traveling cost to convert
