i think for a normal user they might prefer 925 since its lighter n much thinner
1020 needs serious marketing push to reach 10 million i guess...(especially in malaysia whr many ppl are ifags n samseng kambing >.>)

I am satisfy with the 41MP on my 808, I can live with it since i not into those app. For those who dun own 808 might go for 1020, for their additional so call "features" which is marketing gimmick. OIS or not, i got steady hand, so yeah. 

According to pureviewclub personal hand-on comparison, here's notable difference betw 808 & 1020:

1. 1020 actually has slightly smaller sensor size than 808.
2. F2.2 for 1020, F2.4 for 808
3. 1020 has BSI sensor for better low light imaging, and RGB sensor for better white balance.  808 has none of above.
4. 1020 has optical image stabiliser as earlier we mentioned.
5. xenon flash also for 1020, but slightly smaller than 808's.
6. 1020 comes with better software to control the camera features.
7. NO 'Bracketing', 'interval shot', or 'Timer' features ?  ( I guess we need confirmation on that.)
8. PHotos to shoot at Either 5MP or 34MP, no more 8MP pureview mode, which I used the most.
9. NO saving in Raw Format !
10. 6x zoom in 360p video format, 4x zoom in fullHD format.
11. 1020 has lower minimal focusing distance than 808 it seems, but no details of how close it is.
12. 1020 has mechanical shutter.

About the RAW file format, neither has it.  But it is one of the most sought after feature by the users across the board, Esp the pro or semi-pro.

The quality is really good.  Looks like this is going to be a target handphone for photographer at large, either amateur or pro. Will wait for the video samples.

Fix at higher ISO so it will try to use faster shutter speed most of the time.

Another thing is, 808PV has minimal processing, it's more toward natural color, unlike others which tends to boost more contrast and saturation, which makes the image look nicer. So if people just look basic and plainly at the image may feel 808PV output image not so nice.
The key point is, you have more flexibility of enhancing the image that is less process or mildly processed; but then to most people then don't only see the "surface" of things, not everyone will check out the details, and so on.

Apparently one recent article mentioned that this 1020 will have higher colour saturation than the pv808, its partly due to the fact that the strong advocate for natural coloration guy- Damian Dinning, left Nokia and has no say in pushing for natural tone as default.

So prepare for colour boost in the 1020.

Gotten my phone few days back. So far very pleased with what the phone has to offer.

Impressive camera performance goes without saying. But for a beginner/ casual users the pictures still turns out very nice. Not for night picture though.

Screen! One of my biggest worry. But its better than expected.

And everything else im pleased with. Just that Symbian belle really look a little bit outdated.

Anyone can introduce themes or tweaks that can 'modernise' the UI?

Get a tripod perhaps? But i cant find the dedicated tripod for 808 in local store tho...

I will actually wait for the final product arrive here to make conclusion, things that write on paper nowadays cannot trust too much 

This metro ui app really nice. Quite stable too.
