QUOTE(WK-NZ @ Mar 10 2013, 09:54 AM) Just got my own 808.. Whohooo... thanks to everyone for all the great advice on this thread... 1. pre-installed apps and whatsapp only, I don't play gamesjust a few questions: 1. what apps do you have on your phone? 2. how to prolong the battery life? 3. your best camera settings? 4. a good case? 5. do I really need a tripod? Thanks to all the 808 gurus 2. simply just off the 3g network and close all unused applications, set lcd brightness to automatic, Symbian is not power hungry 3. Creative mode with basic settings at 8mp 4:3 with a slight zoom (to outcome the fish-eyed lens effect) 4. rock case (but I still recommend you the official cover, cause it covers from all sides) 5. it depends on your usage. for me, I NEEDED A STABILIZER |

Nokia will provide Smart Lens (which allows us to play manual settings) for Windows Phone
btw, I was about thinking to get this beast again but I do realized that until now Nokia didn't bother to fix the high ISO/banding issue as I wanted since I bought this phone.. its high ISO is highly unusable during the night and I don't like it!! |

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Apr 17 2013, 09:35 AM) Make it short its the best is the camera, clearblack display and fm transmitter. The rest is average. and their designs are smart too! Nokia never disappoints me in terms of design (but my friends hated it, owh well and I prefer to hold this phone than my L920, its pretty bold and sturdy, classy finishing by them Finnish! |

QUOTE(davidletterboyz @ Apr 20 2013, 07:15 PM) Nothing to worry about. So far I have yet to encounter any need to force ISO 1600 in low light situation. I haven't try video though. its pretty obvious for low light situations, its like recording with 5800xm it has so many unwanted ugly noises Which Nokia store did you get this from? Is the cap easy to remove and install? if nokia fix this, no doubt that i'll be buying this phone again This post has been edited by ulwan25: Apr 20 2013, 07:05 PM |

this is the prototype of 808, notice the fast zoom feature (now slow down a bit but its fine for me) and don't tell me you guys didn't notice the weird flashy blue light and major noise distortion (purely detail but purely ugly distasteful color noise!!) came out on the video, i was hoping for nokia to fix the problem both photo/video but they didn't.. this is a HUGE mistakes made by Nokia and I can't see why people are ignoring it.. IT BOTHERS ME A LOT!!! A LOT!!! This post has been edited by ulwan25: Apr 20 2013, 07:20 PM |

it was about an old discussion (sorry for opening it again, I just can't control myself) about the higher ISO prominently visible if you push up to 800 and 1600 and snap at a very low light condition or night
http://discussions.nokia.com/discussions/a...oot_pic1600.jpg I am bothered because I highly use high ISO than lower one.. oke, I get it! ISO 1600 was too ridiculous ever to put on a phone but at least make ISO 800 usuable!! I prefer non blur movements in night rather than blurry pics with killer quality,, it just doesn't make sense at all.. seeing that Nokia can't solve this, It'll be worth looking for the next WP 41mp btw, apart from all, N82, N86, N8, 808, L920 (i don't consider this as great cameraphone though, small sensor lahaiii I highly preferred N82 and N8, good shots less problem even N86 got this weird purple-ish cloud pictures and now with the problematic 808 had cause me a major letdown.. c'mon man, the best cameraphone in the world but tak bleh solve masalah kecik inih ayyyaaaaaaaaaaa record inside house in 1080p with bad lighting causing the phones got weird flashy noise WATTAHELLISDISSSSS baik record dlm format VGA lagi bagus This post has been edited by ulwan25: Apr 23 2013, 03:41 AM |
