Hi, I have a couple of questions regarding the phone.
The gps is free for global map right? So if I take the phone to travel, I just need to download that particular country's map and I will be able to use gps at that country free of charge?
Is it possible to get a camera which have image quality that can match or beat this phone with a maximum budget of RM1500?
Is this phone's camera recommendable / easy to use for someone that is going to use auto mode 70-80% of the time?
To take decent pictures of the stars / moon / planets, I would need at least a dslr?
All in all, the first catch is, I hope the OS "Symbian" wont be a bummer to you, as it no longer doing well in the "smartphone ecosystem". But for normal P & S to serious mobile photography, that's totally another story
Now the answer to ur question:
1. Yup. Nokia Map is free, & you have the freedom to use it online or offline (FOC), and no caching, simply download the country map and your ready to roam around
2. As to date, even N8 image quality are still tough to beat by current dual/quad-core monsters..if you utilize the setting (not in auto, of coz

) So let alone the price range that you have mention. 808 sets the bar so high in mobile photography that it was able to compete with Olympus E-PL2 (GSM Arena results, not sure is 808 the 1st phone to excel such comparison). Although Getting best image with 808 is abit tricky...
http://www.gsmarena.com/pureview_blind_test-review-773p3.php3. 808 already given Auto (beginner), Scene (intermediate), Creative (Advance). It is all yours to command & conquer. Until you understand what you are trying to achieve with 808, you can go auto & scene all the way with ease
4. Alot of pros given this answer, i skipped
I would say go for the becazo band wagon for the 808 (T&C) , really well worth the money!
N8 would be the runner up in this case, not just it is cheaper nowadays (not sure there are anymore new sets around), taking macro would be much easier. The autofocus are sometimes better than 808. Best part is the phone ships with all the goodies (HDMI/USB OTG cables, music playback control earphones)
No matter what your final decision is, just enjoy the phone you bought. Cheers
