guys i need confirmation. If we flash/update using odin, can we update again using Kies later on? coz my galaxy s2 once i used odin to flash new update, i cannot update through Kies after that

You are just like me. I used to be S3 owner before. Then when Note 2 announced, I knew that I just have to get it! Its like the S3 which has been moulded to perfection.

The Note 2 feels like it is just right in the palm. Note 1 feels rather clunky. And the battery life...my God it is so GOOD. The only battery contender is the Razr Maxx but the Razr loses out in almost all features to the Note 2.

titi123, based on DiGi sh*tty offer, i doubt Maxis will come out with a good offer.  Someone mention that Maxis offer might be RM1,545.  If that is for RM30 value first + RM68 3GB data for 2 years, i am gonna take SME free of contract instead.    It is way above the RM1,099 i estimated with 2 years contract, similar to S3.  Most likely they dun think many ppl will sign up for this giant, so not going to give much discount unlike the volume of S3 sales. 

Signing up a data plan is definitely cheaper . Example a 1 GB plan U Mobile is RM 28, Digi RM 38 while Maxis is RM 48 ( these prices maybe not be exact but around this range). If you use 1 GB monthly, pay as you use will cost you RM 100
So see how much is your data needs and decide whether you want to sign up a data plan
The Note 2 has build in feature where you can monitor your data usage and set limit or you can use any 3rd party apps such as data counter widget, 3g watchdog etc to monitor data usage

I think this so called simply bill is a matter of past . It was mainly complains on Maxis. But now Maxis is very efficient - once you hit 80% of your limit, you will get  a SMS warning. Ignored it and you exceed you will be charge at 10 sen per 10kb

this the the minimum package you need to sign up for S3 previously.  Based on DiGi offer already in their web site and Soyo Cincau accurate prediction of RM1,399 posted by thpace yesterday.



Dun expect too much from Maxis, i believe it will not be as good offer as S3 package. 

Total cost for DiGi Note II:
RM1,399 + RM88 x 24 months - RM30 rebate (RM5x6months) = RM3,481.

I think for DiGi S3 (during launching, not now):
RM999 + RM88 x 24 months = RM3,111.  (do correct me if I remember wrongly)

Maxis S3 (during launching - confirmed, as i got one for my wife):
RM999 + (RM30 value plus + RM68 3GB data) x 24 months = RM3,351

If Soya Cincau is correct (most likely), then for Maxis Note II:
RM1,549 + (RM30 value plus + RM68 3GB data) x 24 months = RM3,901

A whopping RM550 difference. Unless Maxis offer a lower price plan for the bundle, I might just go for SME or even AP without contract and use a Maxis RM50 1.5GB data plan.

Based on past records, I can tell you Maxis and Celcom will NEVER be cheaper than Digi
Perhaps U MObile can possibly be cheaper than Digi ( at least their data plan alone is cheaper already)

actually for all those like me who are waiting for Maxis and Celcom plan, you can actually reverse calculated the maximum price you will take for contract.

Example for myself:
Buying SME set with 1.5GB data and budgeted RM10 call
RM2,299 + (RM50+RM10) x 12 months = RM3,019

Reversing back with minimum Maxis package:
RM3,019 - (RM30 call + RM68 3GB data) x 12 months = RM1,843.

So i will sign up for 1 year Maxis contract as long as the phone price offered by Maxis is RM1,843 or lower.  As soon as Maxis announce their phone price, if there is no significant in the package they bundle, i can know whether i should go for SME/AP without contract or sign contract with Maxis. 

For me, i plan for going with the SME set with Maxis Talkmore28 (RM 28) + Monthly 1GB pass (RM 48) since i'm just normal use for email, whatsapp and etc. 

PS - If i really always overhit the quota then just upgrade to Monthly 3GB pass (RM 68). Top up RM 20 more only.

Saw that too. But S Link is giving 6 months for LCD which is better. For me a year warranty is good enough. I have ordered from mikecmy and shall be getting the phone tomorrow

hi, any user here using note2 dropbox which comes with 50gb (2 yrs) ? i wondering if i register in this note2, will my frop box grow to 100gb ? previosuly when use one x +s3, i get total of 75gb within this 2 years... but so far my usage was less then 2 gb only... haha
