QUOTE(HangB @ Oct 6 2012, 02:12 AM) - Intel® Core™ i7-2640M 2nd gen The dual core i7 is a bit overkill for gaming - 4GB(1x4GB) 1333MHz DDR3 RAM - 500GB 7200rpm Hard Drive - AMD Radeon HD6630M 1GB - Dell vostro is this ok for gaming?medium or high? The AMD HD6630M is more or less simlar in terms of performance to the Nvidia GT630M, so its low-med settings |

Thanks for advise. i5 is basically sufficient for normal usage i.e. office work, web surfing, watching movies etc. At this stage, gaming performance is still not governed much by the processor although some games are slowly being optimized for quad core processors It all depends on your budget, if you can fork out more for a quad core i7 (especially so for a gaming laptop that is 15.6" or larger, then its advisable to get one) having a quad core i7 will help alot for insane multitasking. Opening multiple browsers, watching movies at the same time is not considered as multitasking for the case of i7 Display quality is not directly related to the CPU |

Recently my friend was nominated as a webmaster for an educational/health institution. he wants the laptop to be very portable but able to fulfill his task. He is only looking at the content and the friendliness of the website while there will be an IT guy doing all the programming. as he only do the 20%-30%% of the job of a proper webmaster, which ultrabook is suitable and the cheapest (dont want to spend to much with only 20%-30% responsibility) for him. any brand will do. TQ
