After installing 4mbps... I always get 4-4.5mbps download speed.. but a terrible upload speed of 200kbps and alower....
and also... the connection will be cut of.. for about 20-30secs randomly... within a period of every 1 @ 2 hours... After a few calls to the TM... a techinician called me just now..explaining stuff... he said that...the truth is... my area (or cabinet...) didn't really support 4mbps.... just 2 mbps...Altho the system said that the maximum is 4mbps... using it will be unstable... Thats why im getting a terrible upload speed and frequwnr disconnection... he suggest me to downgrade to 2mbps for a smoother connection... and since i dont want... he'll need to reduce my caps (which i think is more that 4mbps right now...) to see if it'll make any difference... Thanks..
Before this.. when I'm on 1mbps package... i did manage go get around 500kbps for upload speed.... But a few months ago, I downgrade my package to basic 384kbps... I think around that time, my upload speed is still OK.. Just that when I reupgrade my package to the 4mbps one... the upload speed is soooo slow... so right now... not sure if what's the technician said is true or not... And yeah... IF there's unifi in my place... I think I'll be the one who jumps package first I've been using my own modem DLink 2540T for few years now... (I think... 4-5 years maybe... ) So, donno if it's time to change the modem already or not... BTW, thanks for the tips... |

Before this, i upgrade to 4mbps from 512 package, with the help from a forumer here. Done within 2 days. The technician doesnt even come to my house... only done from the cabinet or something.
Speed increase almost instantly... Got more than 4mbps downstream. But having problem on the upload part.. reaching max of 200kbps (normally below 150). Even after a week, speed still like that... And line will drop at least once every 15mins... Decided to downgrade back to 1mbps... |

It's one of my suspicion before...
But didn't have the time to try and buy a new modem... So i downgrade first... On my 1mbps.. uploads seems to be fine... |

Can't remember...
I've deleted the screenshot of the modem confīg page.. But seeing what's happening in the 'mobile telco' area next month.. i might have to suck up the terrible upload speed and resubscribe the 4mbps package...😄 |

They say it's ok.. Coz the problem is at TM side.. Not mine.
For TM package.. No problem to upgrade. I did asked them when i tries to downgrade, will there any penalty. But they said since i'm still downgrading into their Blockbuster package, it's OK. Unless i'm terminating... Then they'll impose penalty.. |

Im still thinking whether to reupgrade to 4mbps or not. Worry that my upload speed will crawl like before...
Still wasnt sure whether its my area, line... Or modem problem... Getting full down speed (~4.5mbps)... But frequent dc and terrible upload speed (getting less than 150kbps) |

Yeah..
I do a lot of uploading.... the terrible upload speed + frequent DC is two of the reason why I downgrade back... But nowadays... 1mbps seems to be not enough... Moreover.. i'm sharing it with 2 other people in the house... *sighh* |

An upgrade from a Blockbuster to a higher speed.. they won't give another modem... (Well.. I think so.. coz they don't give me modem and phone when I upgrade before... There's another modem.. i think i kept it in my drawer or something... gonna search for that thing first.. and retry... That one is ADLS2+ IINM... |
