Hello,

I bought Synology ds214play, last year.
I believe the warranty expired right?

And now the Nas is dead no light indicator, i suspect the power supply because its dead after the power trip at condo and the power adapter still show green light.

How do i service this?
How long does it take?

Thanks,
qzplx

Hi Raffaell (yes i still have my sales record with me..)

You should have noticed in my receipt that Synology has 2 years warranty... so you have another 2 months coverage as far as my record shows. Pls arrange to pass the unit (with the power supply, plug, cable) back to me at KJ LRT, and I will help send it back to supplier for them to diagnose and decide what to be claimed/replaced. Duration is unknown, but usually within 2-4 weeks. You have my number I guess, else pls PM me ya... Rgrds

Bought my DS216play from numbertwo yesterday. Superb service, extremely friendly and responsive via Whatsapp to keep me updated of the stock's status, and was flexible to meet up at night too. Overall an excellent experience.

Thanks and cheers!

Hi,
As stated on the first page here are some of the terms :

**Please Add 6% GST to all prices listed below.
Payment Method : PURELY CASH TERMS - NO INSTALLMENT PLAN / CREDIT CARD

Hope that clarifies.

There's 2 models you listed 8G and 2G and the difference is actually the RAM.

What difference does it make for the use case of NAS? Does it read media files faster? Backup quicker?

is just like our Notebook having more RAMs .. more buffer to store things up temporary.. will be useful especially when you are having multi-users environment accessing the NAS constantly.. This is just one scenario..
Tks.
