The 1st time I took out the pollen filter, it was slightly dirtier than the picture below: Can be clean with tap water Reminds me I have a piece of spare paper filter from previous bulk order with SAGA club Previous bulk order in SAGA was a huge success and price is lowest we can get from the market Plonk the paper filter INSIDE the pollen filter, shove it back in the blower casing and we have quality cabin air circulation Many complain after insert paper filter there's wind blockage/whining noise from the aircon blower. In my opinion, the noise level is very acceptable as the SANDEN blower is already very loud. Wind blockage is hardly noticeable. Below is a video I took after installed paper filter. Bear in mind there are still so much of rubbish IN the aircon vent, such as wooden laundry clip, hair clip, business card, 20cents coin(S), dead spiders I haven't managed to clear it up when taking this video. rakOAu1KRAk Disclaimer: I'm not anyway affiliated/merchant/taking profit to promote paper cabin filter as to date. Pollen filter is good in filtering larger particle such as sand and course dust, however its not sufficient to filter micro dust. The extra advantage of having paper filter is to absorb moist that gets into the blower(which directly hit to the cooling coil). Over the long run, human slime got stuck at cooling coil will become odor, which is why some older vehicle can smell dead fish when power on aircon. Over the long run, human slime stuck at cooling coil will result in sticky cooling fins, that will create wind clog, which will congest air flow. This happened inside the cooling coil, thus washing the pollen filter may not help anymore. Mist that came out from human body is acidic and corrosive, over a period of time it will deteriorate the entire cooling coil, as a result of leak gas. Disadvantage of paper cabin filter: 1) It cost RM8 per piece for bulk price 2) It needs regular maintenance because the filtration efficiency is higher 3) Passenger's carpet need to be clean to prevent filter being abused in filtering dirt brought in by passenger's shoes 4) Wheezing can be heard in cabin due to filtration efficiency 5) More often to have wind clog due to filtration efficiency 6) Less odor 7) Car freshener last longer 8) Air inside cabin too clean 9) Cooling coil last longer due to less acidic human moisture 10) Aircon guy less business I use 2x paper filter for cabin filtration and ditched the pollen filter p/s: I'm not a cabin paper filter salesman
