QUOTE(tishaban @ Apr 27 2015, 09:06 AM) Hi guys/gals. Have been reading this thread on and off for awhile, need some newbie advice. I have quite a lot of experience with toy quads like the Syma X5 and the like but am now somewhat ready to buy a proper quad. u mean budget of rm1-1.5k inclusive of the quad and labour ??I'm looking for recommendations to build a 450 sized quad. I don't want to build this myself, happy to pay someone who can build/tune/optimize it for me. I'm looking for: - GPS - FPV (already have my own GoPro Hero3) - waypoint capability (either now or in the future). Anyway, I would like some recommendations on a reliable person or shop who can advice and build/tune/optimize the quad for me. Let's say a budget of RM1-1.5k to start with. TIA |

QUOTE(tishaban @ Apr 27 2015, 01:00 PM) Yes u forgot to factor in radio etc ..The alternative is to buy a Phantom/Walkera/WLtoys etc. but I was looking for better value if possible. maybe u should look for a phantom .. used one la |

QUOTE(tishaban @ Apr 27 2015, 03:09 PM) Agreed, I am looking out for a used Phantom 1/2 as well, just very few and far in between. Am also looking at DJI clones eg. the WLtoys V303 and the like, a bit hesitant to buy from banggood or gearbest, I've lost quite a number of items from them before. rm1-1.5k just for quad and labour is enuff ..So I'm assuming based on your responses that custom built is more expensive than RM1.5k? a quad that has GPS functions waypoints etc .. and easily carries a GoPro all else not inclusive ... ie.. radio batteries FPV equipment etc |

QUOTE(tishaban @ Apr 29 2015, 09:29 AM) OK good point. I can top up for radio, batteries etc. i may know someone who can do it ...Any recommendations on a trusted person/shop who can do it? Do you do it as a service? but then again ... do u know how to fly ? any basic rc knowledge ? if u do not have any of the above ... i can seriously see u calling back again and again for help this is one thing why a lot of hobbyist (me included) do not wanna do such services if that guy wanna do it ... then it will be as such that he builds .. demo fly basic features ... lands thats it .. anything else u will have to read up and do yourself .. |

most of the time the thing u would wanna change is prolly only the power or weight lifting capabilities in the case of taking videos or photos
if u jump from a gopro to a DSLR ... then change copter liau .. a GPS guided quad fully capable of lifting a gopro comfortably is possible with your budget |

the water ... salt or not ... just discharges the lipo completely and neutralises hte chemical reactions inside the lipo ..
u can just throw the water down the drain after that .. there is no chemical reaction for the water in the container ... plastic will be fine |
