never tried draining li-ion below 3v. probably not enough power left after that point.

http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article..._of_lithium_ion

typical operating voltage is 3volts, lowest. a protected version will also cut off at ~3volt. so i wouldn't go below that.
*
below 500gm for 10Ah 3s is very good ..
only if u use the LG MJ1 18650 la

my 2500mah samsung 25r weighs 45gm on its own

but if it works for u then thats good

but low current output not for me i suppose ... too much of the occasional speed junkie biggrin.gif

i think you're replying to the wrong post  smile.gif .

INR18650-25R is a high discharge, those are heavier and more expensive than typical 10A li-ion. good for sub-ohm vaping though  brows.gif .

20a is nothing in the world of speed ...
even if u multiply it by 3 by running 3 parallels tongue.gif

it's a variation of THIS. unfortunately it doesn't allow configuration for each motors, so have to use the tx calibration method.

i clicked in the link
i read the few reviews that it had underneath
2 drones flew away by themselves ...
hopefully yours has no such issues la

What battery you all use for transmitter.
My Xk X251 using X7 transmitter. And it need 6x AA battery.
Pain in the pocket....

I going Hobbyking LSD nimh, but I have no charger to charge them all. (6 or 8 in a time.)
*
u can buy those 4 x AA chargers
or
better still ... buy those nitecore chargers the vapers use for their lithium batt ... oso can use
try nitecore i4 or d4 ... charges 4 batts at once
look around ... they are going pretty cheap locally now

if i want to diy a quad with GPS flight capability(eg, position hold, hover hold, RTH) what kind of FC do i need?

http://www.banggood.com/Mini-NAZE32-SP-Rac...-p-1021113.html  <-- something like this?

http://www.banggood.com/Naze32-Flight-Cont...f-p-953849.html <- and this?

http://www.banggood.com/EMAX-Skyline32-Naz...t-p-981145.html <-- and this?

i'm mainly looking for possibilities for altitude and position hold. what are the minimum specs that i need on the FC?
*
for what u want ...
FC must have baro compass and gps as well as the usual gyros and accelerometers la

cheapest that comes to mind is the APM tongue.gif

thanks
magnetometer is basically the compass, right ?

if i just want hover hold, i don't need the GPS module, right? FC with barometer is enough?

i'm planning on a sub 300 frame(250-280), so the whole GPS thing might be a little too cramp. so trying to isolate the functions  sweat.gif .
*
yes ... magnetometer is compass ... this is for direction of the aircraft is pointing at la
gps is for position of aircraft
baro is pressure sensing ... for altitude control

if altitude is all u need then go for rev 6 naze32 la .. it has baro already and that board is ez to tune and set up
or any board that has a baro la .. lol
your above choices are good oso

http://www.lelong.com.my/kx/nitecore+charger.htm ?

The price are pretty large range. Will be something fake or clone inside there?
What nimh battery i should use.

Does that I4 or D4 nimh charger support change 2 only cells one round?
Because my transmitter need 6 cells, if one round charge 4 cells, another round will be 2...
**Please help me choice which reseller are something you feel good to bought with
*
yes it can charge any number of batt at any 1 time 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 together oso can

check out this ... https://www.facebook.com/vapeitmalaysia/pho...?type=3&theater

they ran out of 4 batt charger ... but u can still buy 2 x 2 batt charger ... more flexibility oso ... and its super cheap compared to the prices at lelong

ok, great thanks. .3 is exactly how much i added at the moment. haven't tested it yet.

how is it measured btw, i know in librepilot it's deg/sec. it's the same for cleanflight or is it just a multiplier?
*
i dont have a true correct answer for u
but based on my experience with cleanflight .. its more of a multiplier

a question on GPS module. is there an orientation in which to physically install it?

i've managed to setup mine, getting a lock and everything, but do i need to pay attention to the physical orientation?
*
if compass module is incorporated into that GPS module unit ... then YES

The spinner that spun off and disappeared after snagging a plastic bag did have blue threadlock in it. I noticed this problem is more pronounced on CW props, because the direction of spin tends to undo CW nuts. And those spinners are not cheap (about US$1 each), I can't afford to keep losing them on a regular basis.

It happens in all modes. I'm going to recalibrate my transmitter & CC3D then I'll dial in a new, flatter throttle curve on my transmitter. We'll see how that goes this weekend.
*
check see if u have those prop nuts the correct direction ..
loosen the nut
hold the nut with yr hand ... then rotate the motor in the direction that the prop will rotate when throttle powered
if the direction is correct then the nut should tighten itself onto prop and motor

if it doesnt tighten then u have the directions of the nuts/prop shaft/motor wrong

Black F-14 "Playboy" VX-4 squadron
Sharing my today happiness!  Just completed building and assembled my rarest R/C jet model today which much sought after by R/C collectors.  The black F-14 TOMCAT "Playboy" VX-4 squadron.  Took 2 days to complete and powered with twin high KV 55mm EDF turbine and high torque servo to swing the wing sweep in place.  Took me years to find it online so i could pair it with my other existing "F-14 Jolly roger".  Now both looks happily together in my hangar.

Its Saturday today in my "Young Aviation" class,  teaching my young student how to assemble a big 600 size quadcopter drone for FPV.  Doing some basic assembly and soldering.  First time they see a liquid metal aka soldering, proud to see them taking high enthusiasm in building a drone.  Next week teaching them how to program the FC board which is an old MultiWii Pro unit...vintage stuff. biggrin.gif.
