if i want to make a connection between my battery and my gimbal controller board, which type of wire should i use? i mean the thickness should have a certain minimum thickness for high current discharge battery right?
any wire that handles 2 or 3a good enuff la ... easiest to use the jst connectors ... light and secure connection
haha...plus crashing means money for the octo AND the dslr . later turn into white elephant only. crashing just costs too much that flying it is just not worth it.
if u have seen how amduser fly heli then u know he will not crash a multicopter unless he go do stupid things ... hahaha

well...just to share a pic of my gimbal that is still in progress [attachmentid=4188856]
kinda hard to find workshop or factory that produce carbon fiber and custom cutting in malaysia, anyone know any carbon fiber maker in malaysia can recommend me, next time want get replacement part also easier
end up i have to source the carbon fiber from china which cost me around USD 150-160 for all the parts in the picture above, it is 3k carbon fiber, cutting is good so it is quite worth the price
i just got a myself a poor man's fpv setup some weeks back. a walkera fpv400 on stock clearance. although i find it hard to rely on the LCD alone, always had to keep an eye on the heli. yes and no actually. it's physics, bigger=heavier=slower response=harder crashes. like my story with the fpv400 above. i've flown a honey bee for 2 years. it's not the easiest thing to fly but i'm pretty confident with it these days. rarely crashes. i crash the fpv400 on the 3rd flight, simply because it's just a little bigger but much heavier than the bee. control characteristic changes quite a bit, even though it's just a coax(which is far easier than flying the bee), it does require getting used to. after some days flying the fpv400, i can't fly my honey bee confidently anymore. the honey bee feels fast and aggressive now .
what the v911 will help is in orientation, handling panic situation(to some extent) & create muscle memory with the stick(provided you're still on the mode).
thats why goggles ... canot be distracted to go look at the aircraft unless emergency ... hahaha
doubt the 911 can lift much extra weight in stock form ..
What's the run time on these systems? Assuming I use a separate 1000mah for the transmitter and receiver (with the monitor), how long will the batteries last?
when i say say fpv system only ... that is only camera vtx vrx and a monitor run times on your aricraft will run out way b4 any 1000mah used for vrx vtx runs out .. a 200mw vtx will last about 45 mins easily using a 1000mah 3s
why DJI in the 1st place ?? many other options that are cheaper .. DJI is considered to be a premier brand and premier price to go with .. lol eg. phantom 2 is capable of estimated 15 mins flight time depending what u put on board ... but the battery costs rm400+ each .. lol
According to some reviews, DJI is the "Apple" of drones, everything should work right out of the box ... everytime. Also aware of the DJI Flip of Death but seems like they've fixed that so
Don't mind paying a premium since I'm more into the photography part over flying.
just wanna take pictures huh ? then just get the DJI la ... no setup headaches .. just P&P and hope that it doesnt flip over over fly away la
