Your MF680 is class B (Not so good batch)

That's what caused the instability

You got no choice except lower the TX Power

tqtq, and also.. on the mf680 cant know if i'm on umts 900 / 2100 right? if plugged on the mr3420 can configure ka?
*
mdma > Band Config nod.gif

You can specify UMTS 900 or UMTS 2100 nod.gif

But I can say most MF680 only support UMTS 2100 biggrin.gif

Weird, just change my modem E173 to E367.

on E173 HSPA mode i got 90%++ signal

while on E367 HSPA+ i only have 45% signal,
wonder is HSPA and HSPA+ different tower ?
*
E367 = 2100Mhz
E173 = 900Mhz

How was the speed, signal not important as long as good speed

Speed is not bad,

E173 was only 100-200KB/s at this time.
E367 at 450KB/s

later try midnight see  laugh.gif
*
No need care signal at long as there's improvement laugh.gif

If you want better, get an antenna

I have a feeling that a Pure 3G WiFi Router works much better than a modem + Router  hmm.gif  hmm.gif
*
IDK hmm.gif

Try plug your modem to your computer then compare it to router.
Is there any speed lost.

But AIO 3G WiFi Router would seriously reduce transmission lost which is great and of course no more heat unstable rclxms.gif

care to explain how it is possible?

Added on October 22, 2012, 10:14 pmjust got a drop out, and my mf680 shines a red circle, and network info gone
*
Plug to computer, get 10mb
Plug to router, get 8mb
Conclusion = Transmission lost is serious
If router faster = your computer USB port got problem

Time to get E372
Your MF680 class B

Or you want to get Chuah's Class A+ MF680
Or my legendary Class AAA E367 laugh.gif

*
Unlikely to be SIM sweat.gif

Use a 3G smartphone, if the modem drop and your phone 3G drop = tower fault
Modem drop and phone no drop = you know lah laugh.gif

*
Yes, for sure it will increase signal and speed nod.gif

Please head over here for the guide to flash your router into OpenWRT

Im confused...after flashing, i need to connect internet to the router to able it to download packages. now i only have this broadband only...so if i connect the modem to laptop and share the connection to the router using lan, how do i connect to the router itself? i can open 192.168.1.1 thru the blue port?  sweat.gif
*
You can bridge your 3G to the LAN and share to your 3G through laptop ethernet port
Setup DHCP server on your laptop.
The connect the ethernet from laptop to the WAN on MR3420

MR3420 should get internet like this for you to configure the packages

If you are using Aztech HW550-3G, never supercharge your modem or your modem will not be detected anymore.

Now my E372 can't be used in my hometown anymore. sleep.gif Using E353 now, luckily it is with me all the time.
*
Hmm, weird since this should't affect anything. Anyway, thanks for the info.
Will put a warning.

*
Galaxy Note ping = 135ms
Huawei E372 ping = 75ms
ZTE MF680 ping = 68ms
