i'd much prefer the revisit old series and come up with new models instead of 2.0s
i'm still eagerly waiting for a Gundam Double X or at least something from the X series.. DX never got a HG even sad.gif (except the one with the g-falcon unit)

X was not very popular, Bandai kill it by moving to a bad timeslot and as a result it ended prematurely. Though the ending was somewhat satisfying, u can tell its rushed. This also affected model sales, as cool as X / DX was im affraid Bandai will not release it in the foreseeable future.

You also hav to take into account that DX is very bulky ala ZZ-ish. The trend in the 21st century (so far) is slim and agile, DX wouldn't hav capture the interest of younger cust + its series ended long ago design faded from ppl's mind. The only ppl who would buy it would be X fan and there isn't alot of em. Very niche market indeed. Unless Bandai do something very uncharacteristic and decided to just create it to please its fans no matter it bomb or not (which i dun see it happening at least not in the current economy climate).

i agree that it might bomb at this time and will not be a sound investment on bandai's part, however i don't think DX is as bulky as ZZ and fits quite well in the 'slim and agile' category
i think it would be more comparable to Freedom in terms of MS size rather than ZZ

all the 2.0s so far have been released coincide with special ocassion
majority are with their anime counterpart's movie remaster screening, while for Nu Ver Ka(does count as 2.0) is they are having Nu Vs Sazabi 3D dome screening
if Bandai were to release Strike 2.0 it'll be also because Seed HD Remaster is screening

so unless new remaster movies or series are being aired, i doubt Bandai will make anymore 2.0s

i would think bandai would follow up the release of the 4 GAT suits with a perfect strike or something along those lines, with a Strike 2.0 frame
they wouldn't miss the oppurtunity while SEED HD is still screening, and perfect strike is still around
if they decided to make a Freedom/SF 2.0 though i'd be majorly pissed

No he isn't. DX is only 17 meters tall, which puts him in the same category as Wing suits.

either Strike 2.0 or Perfect Strike, and Freedom 2.0 does have chance, though will be slimmer than Strike
as for SF, that'll be until Seed Destiny HD screening, but even then making new MGs of other MS would be more profitable, because current MG SF still sells quite well

not height wise, width wise. It mayb lighter and shorter then ZZ but it looks bulky bcuz of its big squarish design (very popular in the 90s) especially the shoulder and chest. It may not be bulky number wise, but appearance wise it definitely is. If compare side by side to ZZ or ExS or things along those lines, sure its not as big to our eyes but the younger generations wont compare it that way cuz tey hav not seen the older stuff. To them they will draw a comparison with things that tey kno, exia, dynames, etc. It certainly not anorexic like exia, certainly doesn't giv that slim and agile look of arios, nor does it hav that thin leg and arms of dynames. The only other they could compare with is virtue, boxy dua cannony design.

not exactly born in, but more on grew up with. Those who grew up watching seed can be consider as young adults now, assuming tey watch it during their teens (which majority does). Those who grew up watching 00, they will be the young ones. Of cuz not all young ppl started with 00, i hav a friend same age as me but he get into the series via 00. I swear to god he consider things bigger then dynames as bulky. I've shown him Sinanju Stein, he says its fat............ doh.gif i hav no doubt if i show him DX, he'll say the same thing. But i cant blame him, his 1st impression is aneroxic design of 00 thus his yard stick is build upon that series and i hav no doubt young generations now would perceive things the same way as him.

the 1st series i watched is Seed Destiny

my first love was Heavyarms Custom, cuz gattling guns are awesome, then came WZC, cause the wings are plain sexy
next i read CCA's manga, fell in love with Nu
then saw MG Ex-S, instant love, n it's my favourite until now wub.gif

In my case, i was started with Gundam Seed & Destiny and i like Freedom and Strike back then as i watch 00 and some UC series, my taste on gundam have change to liking suit that was heavily armed or that look cool (im guilty of this biggrin.gif). One thing that still bug me is that i dislike the RX-78-2 design and it's counterpart like Strike and Age-1, for some reason it don't click on me with the exception of Gundam Mk-II.

My favourite suits have always been UC. The Zeta, MK-II, Sinanju, Nu, Kampfer and Sazabi will always be right up there for me, in my opinion not many new suits have the 'personality' of these suits.
