Hi everyone, Im doing my 4th year MPharm degree currently. As im graduating in a year time, im wondering about PRP.

How difficult it is to get a place, particularly hospital?

And, is there any advice in choosing which hospital to apply to, if considering location is not an issue?

Thanks for your reply!
Im not sure which one suit me better but my preference would be one that can help me gain more experiences. So, I guess public hospital?
And, also, i saw that from a post earlier in this thread that you are working in East malaysia. How does it differ from working in West malaysia?

What do you mean by experiences? Both private and public will offer you different experiences. In terms of workload not much difference if you are working in bigger hospitals. but personally i feel the people appreciate your efforts slightly more.

because i have a perception (probably a wrong one) that public hospital is busier than private, so the workload is greater compared to private. Anyway, how difficult it is to get a PRP in bigger hospitals (public or private) nowadays?

Anyone can recommend me a good effective cough medicine? Been using Woods and Breacol but it seems I get to no where fully healed.

Hehe...depend on my parents...

I read from monash prospectus that it also provide option to transfer to australia after 1st or 2nd year

However, if u are to base both uni on the same basis, how would you rate the pro and con of both uni? Tq

If you are comparing quality of education they are about the same in terms of Malaysian context. The deal breaker would be are you planning to go overseas? then that factor alone will show the vaarious differences.

Hmm I have a question here.I am quite wondering about the career prospect of pharmacist.I do know that pharmacist do get a good salary at their starting point. But it increase only a little and a little by year if you work for gov in hospital.
May I know in which area of pharmacist career.A person can have his or her good career prospect(good salary increase at late years)thank you!

Hi guys, I'm currently 19 years old and thinking of pursuing pharmacy. I have an interest in medicine but don't want to be a doctor due to the time, cost and etec. So pharmacy is my best option.

I wanna know what is the job prospect like for pharmacy graduates in the future as i heard from many of my family and friends telling me that pharmacy is over saturated and you cant get a job and that the wait is really long to get the PRP, is this all true? if so will the situation likely be improved by the time i graduate? And is it too late to start at 20? ill be starting my first year at 20 in IMU if i finish my foundation in science next year.

And for anyone who's a pharmacist, what's it really like working as one? stressful? satisfying? smile.gif

These are exactly the questions I wanna ask....Page 1 information was posted few years ago...I also heard that pharmacy is over saturated and by the time graduated after 4years it will be even more pharmacists and harder to get a job especially in hospital? And waiting for PRP will need at least 7 months onwards....

What about getting a job in either private or government hospital after PRP? Is it hard?

Thank you.

Government will have a long wait. If private not much issue especially if you are willing to get out of your comfort and work in other states.
