P.s. last thread was a year ago, still.. hope anyone can help me with this as i have noone to help me out with this (coz i am an overseas graduate, so no local pharmacy friends lol)

hey guys. i just got offered prp for private hospital in kl. let's say i am only being offered a year of PRP here, can i go to ANY private hospital or even private retail pharmacy for my FRP?

-I realised that PRP job has to be done in one of the hospital as listed as training premises. So how about FRP? Can I just handpick any private hospital, be it in east or west malaysia for my FRP?

-I also asked if it is possible to do retail pharmacy after doing PRP in hospital. That is because it is very hard for me to get a government job as I do not have SPM (I only have O levels), meaning I can't work for the government. And again, private hospital is also very hard to get in as well. So I am really scared I'll be jobless for a very long time. So is it possible to do frp in retail?

Thanks

FRP can be done anywhere, but also subjected due to your terms & condition with your PRP place.

This is why whenever those people who send their children to study International school ask me why going to Private School to do SPM. Cos u never know if the profession u choose needs SPM's BM.

I actually have BM in my O levels and I even used to take MPU subject Bahasa Kebangsaan in an university in Malaysia and scored an A for that so I am definitely competent in Malay. The government was taking O level Bm as equivalent as SPM malay before but decided to change their decision in 2017.. this affected many medical graduates with qualification like me so government allowed them to do their training first before kicking them out. but apparently not for pharmacy grads like me because too little complaints.... sigh

And about international school. in fact i am born and raised in Brunei but still having the Malaysia citizenship. that is why i have O levels rather than SPM.

i seriously doubt the private hospital will kick you out after your PRP. more often than not they will bind you for 2 more years at least.

From what I have heard they only keep PRP who scored 90%+ for the following year. Oversaturated job market probably.. cool2.gif cool2.gif

Also am I the only one who seriously read BM as bowel movement before I register the short form as Bahasa Malay hahaah rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

Anyone happy to share their job salary + your practice area + your years of experience + how often is your salary increment + do you get annual bonus?

How much are FRP getting paid these years? What about prp? I know the liberalisation guide said 2600 for PRP, but is that the market rate?

Pharmacist in private ,salary scale really depends on individuals although 75% will hit at least upper 7k-ish after 6-7 years. In retail, with OT and sales target, 5 figures not a problem at all. At my time when we started PRP, at least 3600.
