QUOTE(alucard_my @ Mar 4 2014, 07:40 AM) I saw a Breville BES870xl which comes with a conical grinder built on in Robinson Gardens as well as ETC in Bangsar sound center. Single boiler with PID. Retailing for RM 2999. btw i saw this machine in robinsons garden, they are doing promo at RM 2799 instead of RM 2999...may i know is this machine good as well? compare to others similar level of machine? QUOTE(mel5582 @ Mar 19 2014, 02:57 PM) Oh.. if it lets you set the temperature, it's really good! Yeah, I heard about Breville's steaming takes time but it gives very consistent micro foam. I think as you get the hang of it, can try higher temperature hi there.. I saw this promo during the weekend and it has a free pitcher too. I think it's a great machine to start with as it comes with a built-in stepped grinder, tamper, pitcher, 58mm PF, and baskets. Pretty much everything you need to start your journey haha. If you were to minus out the basic conical burr grinder cost (maybe around RM1000?), means the whole machine only costs RM1799. It's quite a steal wat abt gaggia classic or the new baby? which one you tink i shld buy? minus the grinder.. |

I think as you get the hang of it, can try higher temperature hi hi.. i think i am 90% going to buy the breville 870 but can you advise how does the 54 mm portfilter on this machine differ from the commercial size of 58mm? the breville dual boiler is 58 mm.. but 870 is 54 mm .. we cant change n use 58 mm on the breville 870 right?I saw this promo during the weekend and it has a free pitcher too. It's quite a steal this is the one reason i am not buying yet.. the gaggia classic is selling at 2680 at ETC and this breville can be get at around 2600.. really really difficult to choose? most probably i will get the breville. . thanks in adv.. |
