I'm by no means an expert but I'll try to answer your questions.
1. Blue mountain coffee comes from Jamaica. Not sure how is it related to HK.

I second this statement.. Kopi Luwak is seriously overrated and I can't make any sense the purpose of drinking it.. It doesn't taste good, it's muddy and dull with no acidity. It's just a cup of s**t coffee lol.
What i know also hear from other.
I personally never try before but the person tell me all this tried it before at penang as the boss of the coffee shop is his friend.
The person who tell me this say Kopi Luwak is really a nice coffee if it meet certain criteria:-
1. Must be wild - So the Civet cat know which is the best bean to eat among all the coffee tree in that huge area. Their digestion system is better than caged civet.
2. Expensive - because the Civet cat only pass out the bean with shit in the timing between 3 to 5 am. Indonesia is a tropical country and rain a lot. So when the civet cat processed bean contact with water, it will spoil. So the job to collect the bean is super super super hard as the cat run across the whole forest.
3. Many fake, caged civet car or civet cat farm that actually unable to produce the best bean. That why many people unable to drink the authentic Kopi Luwak.
4. The best way to enjoy Kopi Luwak is by direct roast it, smash it and boil direct. No filter or western style.
Many of the expensive item price jacked up HongKie. Item that i know:-
1. Pu-er tea
2. Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee Bean
3. Red Wine
4. Abalone
5. Bird Nest
6. The list still going on.........
