Why is this? I saved it as JPEG, but the filename is 'file'
I should save it as GIF?
Scan images (JPEG)

Earlier I scan some paperworks, by default it is already set save as JPEG, but when I tried to open the files at home, there is no icon file, meaning when I double clicked it, it will ask, open with a appropriate program, select from the list.

depends on what document you've scanned, i would save in JPEG than in GIF.
JPEG and JPG same la. when windows prompt you, just choose the application that you always use to open your JPG file and it'll be fine. |

QUOTE(zeist @ Feb 16 2006, 03:48 PM) Earlier I scan some paperworks, by default it is already set save as JPEG, but when I tried to open the files at home, there is no icon file, meaning when I double clicked it, it will ask, open with a appropriate program, select from the list. I think you need to add an extention of .jpeg or .jpg at the end of the file name. Try opening it again and see. If you are unable to view to extension go toWhy is this? I saved it as JPEG, but the filename is 'file' I should save it as GIF? Tools> Folder Options> Go to the view tab and uncheck the "hide extension" check box. |

If there's problem with jpeg, then try saving it in tiff format. After saving your file, a box will appear whether you want to save it as mac or pc file / compressed or not. Click for PC without compression.

Dudes, this is what I did.
I tried opening those files in photoshop, but can't. Really weird, because I scan those paperworks using Photoshop - save as - JPEG, but can't read? Then I try my luck with Corel Paint Shop Pro, surprisingly it can read those files, and I quickly save as - JPEG, now I can see the icon already. Ok, thanks dudes This post has been edited by zeist: Feb 16 2006, 09:24 PM |
