Earlier I scan some paperworks, by default it is already set save as JPEG, but when I tried to open the files at home, there is no icon file, meaning when I double clicked it, it will ask, open with a appropriate program, select from the list.
Why is this? I saved it as JPEG, but the filename is 'file'
I should save it as GIF?
I think you need to add an extention of .jpeg or .jpg at the end of the file name. Try opening it again and see. If you are unable to view to extension go toWhy is this? I saved it as JPEG, but the filename is 'file'

Tools> Folder Options> Go to the view tab and uncheck the "hide extension" check box.
