Visa and MasterCard now charge a cross border transaction fee even when no currency conversion occurs. This relatively new fee - “cross border transaction fee” (MC) or “International Service Assessment (ISA) fee” (Visa) – was initiated by Visa and MC to ‘fight’ usage of the international credit card processing network when no currency conversion occurs.

No, my friend’s Shopee acc still use Cybersource.. earlier I also thought is global changed, I somemore tell my friend can use SCB card now coz won’t have cross border fee as Shopee changed to ipay88, but, later he told me his recent purchase with PBB card shown Shopee Singapore still..

hi, is the shopee still maintain 2 payment gateway as at now ?
actually, we dont know which payment gateway shopee use on our orders because during checkout, i just key in my credit card and that it.
to play safe, i already stop using scb cc for most website except lazada.com.my
the rest, the best way and safe way is using maybank cc

I think now it has been using Shopee Malaysia.. so far none reported is Shopee Singapore anymore

any update for this list? other than cross border fees, recently many banks also seem to charge extra 1% foreign exchange fees?

afaik there are 2 fees:

1) network forex fee, usually stated in the general card t&c for all foreign txn. usually bank will markup ~1% on top of converted value in MYR

2) eg recent announcement by HLB is more to DCC, which is another 1% fee

3) bigpay's changes is to impose DCC fee of 0.5%. this is why they said most cases will see total of 1.5% = 0.5% dcc + 1.0% forex fee

4) cimb twe doesnt charge forex fee (product feature, iinm), but it does charge DCC across the board.

does cross border fee fall into these categories? or different fees on top of these?
