If want full wipe, then pick wipe data/factory reset at CWM. (Don't do option below this selection).

After that, goto Advanced, and choose wipe dalvik cache & battery state (I do this as I found out it help on sometimes battery leak issue).

It won't erase anything on SDcard or External SDcard.
*
What does wipe battery state do? I thought its something like battery calibration? just my guess.. rclxub.gif

+1, just flash wanam 3.7 last night. Morning 8am 100%, now only left 41%.
Exactly same with my ICS Stock firmware power consumption before flash
*
o.O hmm.. Before you use stock original firmware or custom rom? you got use wanam ics v2.3? wanam 2.3 is damn power saving. best of all the version I have used form him so far. So I am actually comparing wanam 2.3 and wanam 3.7 battery life.

On another matter, I cannot seem to be able to torrent while tethering to my PC. Do I need to dl a torrent apps? I'm actually using Vuze on my PC and the phone is only tethering/hotspot. When I switch back to my broadband it runs smoothly.

Not sure about other providers, maxis told me they block p2p when iasked them regarding my mobile broadband last year, i presume its same for mobile data plan, fair use policy or something. But i am wondering, its my data, its my money, i am within my allocated monthly limit, so why block... Hmm. rclxub.gif

hil.... has JB official released?

other question by me. when i turn my speaker volume to the max... the sound has very very bad quality.... it's like a blown speaker... is this normal or what? should i send it to samsung service centre?
*
yes official JB is release

QUOTE(waiwaisan @ Sep 26 2012, 02:14 AM)
Hi all, I just flash to wanamlite jb 4.1.1, and notice that memory utilization quite high, is it normal?
*
very low for me (stock JB)

QUOTE(silentser @ Sep 26 2012, 02:54 AM)
depends, my contacts are always in the could with google. i dont sms people, my whatsapp is auto backup every 4am so even if i forget to backup, it wont be total lost,
that all i need to worry to backup

for apps
if i stay on a rom more than 3 days i redo my titanium, with batch backup what dont feel any hassle,

for theme, well, since i always jumping, i dont feel the need to do much theming, just slap on a happy wallpaper, use apex, change the sms to whatsapp, stock browser to firefox shortcut.

im done....

with aokp you get much more fun, with theming cause all can be set in the system option

though i do miss samsung camera, but i feel okay with 3rd party apps such as camera zoom, camera 360, aosp camera mod, the picture are just for memory to look at and also for instagram/twitter, as long as it look nice in small screen or for avatar, i dont think you see much of different
*
thanks for your comment
will flash it next time, want try out stock JB 1st brows.gif

What are the causes of corrupted md5 checksum? I wanted to experiment with one of the phones lying around (xperia ray). I did the usual root n cwm recovery. Flashed with cm9. Did a nandroid backup of stock and cm9. waited til it finished and says complete, didnt see any error statements. Rebooted. Tried to restore one of the cm9 backup. (have a few different ones. Was experimenting. Haha) Tells me got problem with md5 sum. Cannot proceed. I am confused. Most worked but some dont. I find it wierd. I did all the factory reset, cache, dalvik wipe too just to be complete.
Any advise on whats going on? I just wanted to be clear before i play with my more expensive s3. I assume most android phones should b quite similar...

Thats true but I am just curious. Now have this nagging curiousity at the back of my head. Haha. Would like to know the solution if anyone has a method of ensuring working nandroid backups. biggrin.gif

the cwm recovery version is different when you backup and restore, if you backup using cwm version 4, you will have difficulties when restoring using cwm version 5

I only rooted it once and used the same cwm all the while. As far as i know, i did not upgrade or change the cwm. Only played with stock n cm9. So not sure what corrupted my md5 sum.
Still have TB so its no biggie but if nandroid works at least all my settings n icons n homepage all remain the same. Save time not having to redo all my setting n icon positioning.

cwm come with the kernel, on stock you are using cf-root to get the cwm, when flash to cm9, the kernel change and maybe cwm version change (maybe you dont notice it), try double checking it, cause it happen to me once, and it make me angry like hell, i double check, my cwm different version
