QUOTE(normaron @ Sep 21 2012, 09:13 PM) Just got mine at ioi mall. Citibank card? How do i get the same RM250 cash back like you said?At first go to senQ at ioi, but the stuff there don't even know what is Nexus 7... So walk around the mall and Go to the area that sell computer stuff saw a shop with big Asus sign then went in to try my luck. The sales person in the shop say got stock, but have to take from Sunway, so I waited an hour, I use credit card they charge 2% zzzzz... so total is rm1019.00. Since I use my new Cxtxbank card, Can get rm250 cash back, so total damage is rm769. |

QUOTE(kiwlm @ Sep 22 2012, 06:31 PM) I have read the blog 3 times, it is not clearly mentioned in his blog, so I assumed it was the step when I was told to run Google Play. select any app, pretent that you wanna buy, instead of choosing ur stored cc, choose the other option which is automatically states as 'Add another cc to redeem USD25' then follow the steps back from that blog, eg: US address and postcode and phone no.Somehow the popup doesn't happen, maybe because I already have a credit card associated with my account? what I did was go to a paid app, then there's one option to "Add card to get $25 credit", then I continued as in the blog. |

QUOTE(kiwlm @ Sep 22 2012, 06:38 PM) Thanks! That's what I did, and I get the USD25. Yup still need VPN for US contents like books, movies etc. I am running out of ideas what to buy, as I already bought most of the apps/games that i need. If I buy a book/movie/magazine, would I still be able to use it without the VPN? |

QUOTE(Bugeca @ Sep 24 2012, 12:23 AM) Let see if your Grouper can boot into recovery... thanks for the guides. Driver test was a pass. 1. Unplug USB and reboot to system mode; normal booting. 2. Plug in USB to another port and make sure your Grouper is in Debugging mode. 3. If you've successfully flash permanent recovery, press "Launch" under Advanced Utilities. In Quick Tools with ADB-Device On selected, press Reboot Recovery. 4. If you did temporary recovery in previous try, you may choose Custom Recovery under Boot Temporary menu. 5. If it still fails, you may need to run Initial Setup again and make sure you pass Step 3 with flying colors. I did encountered this issue but I can't recall how to overcome it. I do remember that I did reboot the PC, change the USB port couple of times, rerun Initial Setup then it can boot into recovery. BTW, I flashed the recovery permanently. If you're familiar with Fastboot command, you can shorten the troubleshooting. That was a great toolkit by WugFresh but even if it was easy, that bug annoyed me. I dont know if its with his toolkit or it's a bootloader bug. But thanks God it's rooted now. |

I've been enjoying this a lot so far! no issues whatsoever.. If only the front cam could be better since it has no back cam, but other than that it's a fantastic sub RM1K tab!

QUOTE(im_not_stupid @ Sep 27 2012, 11:26 PM) bought Asphalt last time for 0.99 but now 0.25 only just tried the game, no lag at all. but the game still lag sometimes even after updates last week The graphics are nice but the texture of the car could be better. I got this game for free on my S3, trying to import it over to my Nexus but failed since it was free only on Samsung. So since it's discounted, bought it again. No regrets. |

QUOTE(samurai1337 @ Sep 28 2012, 04:06 PM) He's probably referring to no HDMI-out, no 3G, no rear-camera etc for a sub 1K, this should definitely be a good buy for anyone who's on a budget. Specs ain't too shabby either. Again, we're not paying a lot for this so can't expect too much Want more features? Then be prepared to churn out more money then. What I really like of this Nexus trend is that, not so long ago, tablets were expensive. Due to the arrival of Kindle and now Nexus 7 with specs in which they ain't too bad either, I see this as a start of fierce competition to Apple iPad dominant. Now everybody is eyeing cheap tablets with good specs, this should slowly end the aggressive pricing by certain manufacturers, which easily tagged tabs with +-RM2K. Now competition in tablets market should be about who got the best-bang-for-the-bucks specs. A win for consumers in general. |
