Please share how you got it back alive in case other users faced similar scenario

ya uncle, sure. biggrin.gif

to users who got their accounts on hold and cant make any purchase from the Google Play with this error:

"Your payment could not be processed at this time. You may recieve an email asking you to verify your account"

in which you will never get any email from them asking you to verify.

Head up to this page with your account signed in, and email them telling that your account is on hold.

In a day or two, you'll receive a standard email of them telling you that your account is normal etc, asking you to update the credit card address, setting up password to avoid accidental purchases etc. This email doesnt specifically asking you to verify anything, just them telling you the things that usually we knew already.

But I believe even though you have your cc address already keyed in correctly, just click the LINK GIVEN in the email which will redirect you to the cc page of your Wallet. This, I believe is their way of verification.
This is because, I knew my address was already correct which made me felt not necessary to click that particular link as mentioned above and the result, I waited for days and my account was still on hold.

Then one user here (forgot his/her nick) telling that he/she succeeded in making his/her account back to normal after editing the address detail whereas I was the 1st one to get their email and gave me idea that perhaps by clicking that link would give me the sort of verification that they want.

So I clicked, (must be done on your PC, not tablet or mobile devices) and didnt really edit anything since it was already correct and waited for 24 hours, and yea, my account has been put back to normal without me having to set up password on Google Play like somebody suggested in the other forum. I successfully made a purchase of Thumb Keyboard using my leftover Google Credit.

Perhaps this would give to those who face similar issues, some ideas. smile.gif

PS: This isnt a guaranteed fix, but this is what Ive been observing for days and hopefully it would be a correct fix to you as well.

ya, hopefully yours will always stay ok. One thing that still baffles me is that, whats the cause of the holding? I believe this happens only to US residents or those who 'happen' to have US addresses like us blush.gif because its not really a widespread issue, the only thing that I notice in the past few days is that, all the complainers are from the US/ official-supported countries by Google, mostly US. This doesnt happen to the rest of us, it's just us, the Nexus owners who claimed the USD25 free credit and use US addresses. But this isnt happened because we 'cheat' the system, some valid US residents also face this issue. There might be something else that triggers this lockups.

Buying lots of apps at a time might trigger this. But to say this is the only factor isnt strong enough, as others (US residents) who happened to have a new Google account also faced this lockup.

One thing that I really wish I could get back is that, to remove the fake US address in which I used to claim the USD25. Now it is fixed, not removable and only God knows if we could face this again in the future. sad.gif

there are minority cases from outside US complained as well (or maybe more ppl just give up assuming they are banned due to claiming the $25?). it has more to do with google wallet triggering some form of validation for ccard. claiming the $25 credit or not it still will happen.

ya because they used US addresses to claim, that made them 'US citizens' as well. therefore this issue applies to them as well. thats what i think, but i might be wrong in this.

but the rest of us Malaysia who never claimed the USD25, this just doesnt happen to them.

True manual update very messy for me. Current stock rom 4.1.1 is actually good enough for my daily use.
No complains what so ever.

true to that. too much of a hassle. i'll wait for official OTA as well, but plan to test out SuperSU Pro survival mode.
