When you get your device, try out the stock rom for a week first. Get use to the stock speed n battery life. Then only try custom rom

If not you won't have a baseline how custom rom perform. Nothing to compare.

the less than 3GB thing does not affect my unit.
uncle benny also say no affect.

i am running paranoid android, uncle benny use CodeNameAndroid rom.
these 2 roms no prob.

i request some users running stock to test, but no reply from anyone yet.
its not hard, find the biggest file, copy paste it to many other folders to fill the storage space till <3GB.
then try running and see got slowdown or not.


about the price...
i highlight this in the FAQ session.
frankly many people ask the same ques and the same ans were give,

you use chrome? chrome wont be able to play flash.

use other browser, such as firefox beta or opera

yes.

chrome is the best and fastest.
usually i just use chrome. when got any site need flash, i just copy paste the url in firefox.

even youtube i watch using youtube app.
youtube tablet UI app is very very good. can watch and comment same time,
and easily browse subsription uploaded video

been busy adding users to the user list.
suddenly burst.

guess the official launch has something to do with it.

i always listen music loud volume, since it has great battery life i never worry.
i remember that day i just flash to CNA rom, when playing youtube got a loud tud, then no sound.
after i reboot normal back.

after that incident the speaker slowly got muffled sound and get more and more worst.

but speaker is very easy to replace. i think service center got spare parts.
i send for warranty got back in 3 days.

the speaker prob is not out of the box issue.
better dun always listen at max volume just to be safe

very minor on the left side.
not sure why people complain this like a class1 fatal defect.
i did not notice it until i read about it. doesnt affect the usage at all.

i read the link your posted.
it asked to remove 2 screws. which i did.
after giving a gentle press at the left side. screen went right back in.
need to observe few days see how.

even if i dont remove the screws. a gentle press will force the screen back in,
but it will bulge out to the usual lifted position automatically after few days.

but then again, this screen lift issue is not that important.
new users please check working mic/speaker, and dead pixel.
screen lift does not affect the usage in any way.

tune up the brightness and its ok.

not really an issue for me, my wifi signal is strong. :-)
how bad is your flicker? i have to go out of my house in the night only i notice the flicker,
very mild flicker every second, barely noticeable.

i'm satisfied with stock speed and smoothness.
i dont mind the phone UI too.

but i cannot accept the youtube app.
if you use previous android tablet youtube app, you will notice the difference.
on stock nexus 7, the youtube app is phone UI,
i dont get it since the other apps like gmail,maps,play store are in tablet UI

@2:00, can see the difference between tablet UI and phone UI for youtube app.

tablet UI only display subscription uploaded videos, which is good.
phone UI display subscriptions activities like what video they like, commented, which is spam in my opinion.
i subscribe a channel to see their videos, i dont want to know their activity.

tablet UI allows video playback and comment at the same time.
you can also scroll comments while watching the video.
even desktop youtube page cant do this, on PC, when you scroll down to see comments, the video will scroll up and out of the screen.

here's what i mean



the early builts are not very smooth,
but since 2.12 its very smooth by my standards, buttery enough.
not sure how how the smoothness compared to stock since i cant compare side by side.

battery life is good, kernel is not overclocked.
