agree... the place looks like the owner have multiple fish farms just opening a pond to sell fish faster and easier with some game to let fishos play around as well.
first time i went there i thought of the cheap price but when really start driving from pj to that place... i start to think twice of bringing fish back with the cost of petrol and toll... freaking far... |

QUOTE(1dollar @ Oct 31 2012, 12:30 PM) 2-6lbs or 4-8 lbs just nice for Peacock game. upgraded the size 4 owner single hook to a jig assist hook d... i think the next stuff will be toman on 6lbs on microlure.Haruan also can be fun. UL fishing is all about letting the fish pull your drag, just maintain the tension of the line and let your reel do its job. Reel in the tired fish, unhook and let it take a breather in the water before letting it off again. Only cons about UL and L fishing in our country. 1) you cant take it out and snap pics and be proud of it 2) you cant control and pull the fish away from potential snags. or tilapia gigas... or asian redtail... or haruan. IMHO UL rods give a firm change of direction to the fish. the UL rods does not really pull the fish towards the direction you wish, but exert that slight force to make the fish swim towards the direction. totally the opposite of how people "motorboat" a fish back with heavy rod and line. fish not tired, totally scare the hell out of the fish... hehheh... |

QUOTE(rorytate @ Nov 5 2012, 10:24 AM) Just 2 pax? what was the technique implied? i used a mid swimmer and kept scooping debris and weed down there. tried popping also no luck. rattler works but barra shook it off again in the leap. not very big sized, ala table sized i think. tigershark boss was telling me he got a lot using minnows in the morning... |

QUOTE(rorytate @ Nov 5 2012, 11:38 AM) hmmn... sounds like slow presentation. or fast twitching method. that day i dropped by after work... around 5 something... on a friday. the luring pond is only available on fri sat and sun only was told...we can try to go there once... when do you intend to go? not really as nice of a place to lure... good for bottom fishing though... weekends? yesterday went jurassic around evening. toman x 1, the rest all haruanzzzzz untill zzz... i thought it's all frenzy after rain and evening... turned out the fishes too lazy after a long day of rain... i think it implies only to a short shower for frenzy. whole day drenching rain is going to make the fishes go lazy... |

haha... i like the idea of retreiving lures... that day saw something floating in the middle of the toman zone, i tot is some nice top water lure... aim, cast, slide the giant dog wide from side to side, HOOKED! then the "lure" dived along the way i reeled happily imagining what lure will i get for free this time...
in the end it's a catfish head. GG... |
