I thought with Barra if you keep ur rod high and when they jump there's a better chance of them throwing the hook?

QUOTE(hamster9 @ Nov 19 2012, 08:49 AM) Ikan masin the best I think. Bigger boat. Dual engineI went with Ghost fish. (yu Kwai) and he's a grumpy sod man. Rather pay more go with ikan masin. Lol Added on November 19, 2012, 11:53 am QUOTE(vioxmonsta @ Nov 19 2012, 09:58 AM) Should take ur saltish. Can catch killer whale too with it. HahaPekan is shallow. 30-40m. Any reel with a decent drag and 150m of line is enough. If u get a big one. Then depends on ur luck and skill la This post has been edited by fishon: Nov 19 2012, 11:53 AM |

QUOTE(1dollar @ Nov 19 2012, 08:00 PM) I know can do both,.. but jigging require more coral and structures under water. sorry wasn't concise if its a sand bed then bottom only, jigging is a waste of energy. Thats why jigging kaki cannot go with bottom kakis. was gonna say depends on who u fish with. if everyone bottom fishing then it's abit tough. with tangles etc. Ikan masin's son Ah Boy I believe is into jigging. But it's definitely not sand bed. nothing on a sand bed depends on season they will also target parrot fish and it'd be on the corals etc |

Peoples boat. Like it or not have to respect la. It's like someone's house, can't simply go in and break the rules etc.
It's ok, Australia also got these pantang rules. Everyone abides by the No Banana on boat rules. It's a curse and these are kwai loh's and they believe in it. Strange but true. Back to Tanjung Tuan.....what is it exactly? can you see headland? Or straight out open water? I know Malacca Straits is deep. Very deep. You're easily fishing 100m+ depths. Sometimes 200. So a large reel is essential. Correct me if I'm wrong. And I've seen people using weights that are huge. Size 12 and above. I think my rod will break from the weight alone lol In any case.....sounds like fun.....thats IF i don't get seasick. |

If can see land I can get my equilibrium so that's all good.
Cool can finally use my jigging reel .... but no rod yet hehe Yeah need to be occupied and focus on other things. If it's a small boat then I'm in trouble but being able to see land I'm all good. |
