here is the current small experiment i am doing and researching
ZTE MF680 [attachmentid=3149623] E372 Maxis set [attachmentid=3149624] Those line is highlight is one of the internal Signal antenna attach to the cover, See that E372 have much longer zig zag silver than ZTE MF680 which have only tiny bit ? ZTE MF680 [attachmentid=3149628] E372 [attachmentid=3149629] As you can see from 2 photo above, see how the heatsink in ZTE MF680 is 2 divide piece and E372 is one whole big long piece of heatsink ? This is the main reason why you guys feel ZTE MF680 is hotter than E372 because the heatsink too small compare to E372 can't hardly tame the whole heat , and the zte mf680 cover will get much more warm and need a cooling method or else performances is drop. on the other hand E372 doesn't need any cooling method and will still be fine and performances a lot better and much stable when heat raise,.. now you guys have the answer of why E372 is much stable and less heat in overall than ZTE MF680 & why ZTE MF680 performances drop tremendous when heat raise i hope this post benefit you all who having these modem and also for you all who is choosing between which one to have,.. new experiment coming up ^^, so stay tunes, This post has been edited by chuahcs79: Nov 11 2012, 01:04 AM |

My so called " Death E372 Maxis Set" is ALIVE again
i open the both cover to take photo just now, and then i leave the back cover close and plug in router tl-mr3420 v1 and insert sim card then plug in CRC9 convertor + panel,.. and my maxis set E372 is working amazing with this antenna + CRC9 convertor and it is never switch to Auto band like my E372 huawei set , it is still on UMTS2100 with Full signal; [attachmentid=3149689] look at the signal 31,99 & ping [attachmentid=3149690] see the result ? [attachmentid=3149691] see the top piece broken from the board [attachmentid=3149692] the stable IDM speed between 1.35 ~ 1.45MB/s This all result is amazing for a so called "Death Modem" WOW the Maxis set is working amazingly with the back cover zig zag silver thing as second antenna and Panel antenna through the CRC9 convertor. even modem is broken and connect it together with external and internal antenna will still get it going,.. |
