I'm getting it from eBay, what I wan to monitor is the state of charge, rpm and the % on the accelerator. I'm always using the 5 min consumption to get good FC but that page doesn't have the state of charge and ev.

If you order from eBay, do you need to pay for the tax for it? Dun know have local supplier here selling this product or not(other then the lelong website one)? hmm.gif

As I'm at Singapore side, no tax for anything less than SGD 400. But last time I ever sent a brand new laptop from Australia to my wife at Melaka, she didn't have to pay a single cent to collect the Laptop at Post office(no one was at home at time of delivery).

But the thing is, alot of sellers don't like to ship it to Malaysia hmm.gif Maybe we can set up a group buy or something.

I will go and find out if there are more PC owners interested, when I go back to Melaka, I can pass it to you guys?
*
That is a great idea. icon_idea.gif KL to Melaka is only 2 hrs drive. Maybe our PC group can go there for gathering + family outing. Best part is we all can install it at the same time(setting up the scangauge ii). rclxms.gif Awesome!!!!

I am still wondering that can we setup the 10 commands, few of them for our auto door lock. I am searching for the code and finding out the capability of those commands(some product are pretty dump, just send & receive only). Coz the guy who sell the auto lock module is installing it to the OBD ii port too. There must be some coding for it. hmm.gif If can, we can hit two bird with one stone. thumbup.gif

Pick up my PC this morning, gotta to say love it!!!  smile.gif
Anyway need to consult all the Tai Kor here, since the door is keyless... wouldn't it be unsafe at petrol station??  Somebody could just press the start button and drive away isnt it?
*
Based on what Toyota explain, the remote key must be inside the car to be able to start(you need to try it). To unlock the door must be 3 feet on either side of the front door(again you should try it as well).

As for once it started, our bro here confirm that taking away the remote from the car wouldn't stop the engine (only alert with alarm inside the car).

I am still working a way to secure this. I think I will be able to work something out when I get my PC.

I heard some people encounter that keep your smart phone or iphone in the same pocket as your smart key. It causes interference and won't let you start the car. Anyone here try this out?? hmm.gif

My way at petrol station: Off engine, pull the petrol trigger, get out of the car, lock the car, pump petrol, finish pumping, unlock the car, get in the car, lock the car, start engine, go.

Always put the key in your pocket, anytime you leave your car, your car can't go far. In case if someone try to rob you of your car, just run. They can damage the car but can't drive it away. However, PC is not a popular model for car thief. One of the reason is whoever get a stolen PC, need to get back Toyota service centre for maintenance.
*
Unless they are going for your PC parts and export it oversea market to sell it. sweat.gif But if we worry too much, no need to own a car. Take LRT or taxi better....hahaha.... tongue.gif (i'm sorry if i offended anyone)

I m future to own PC owner, I heard from SA now got ready stock for certain colors how can long waiting list....

I goin to order after 18 next month.....

I m hesitating bcos too many older generation ppl means driver which is almost or above 50 are skeptical about Prius C technology.....bcos they believe the saving is not worth the money pay for the car......
Here got any veteran owner? how do you convince yourself? Maybe some sifu or tai kor can teach how to explain to this group of drivers.....
rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif

Well, everyone are skeptical about new technology but Prius C technology is not new at all. Its Toyota third generation for hybrid system and the first generation are still running at some place in the world. So why worry so much. With all those features equip in the car by Toyota, I think it safe for elderly people to drive. rclxm9.gif One more thing, dun worry we Malaysian are not the guinea pig for this, coz other place like Japan, US and Australia had long launched this model there. By now Toyota should had clear more of the bugs.. brows.gif And its imported from Japan (with Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRC) system, Electronic Brake froce Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA) & Hill-start Assist Control (HAC)).....Not from Thailand!!!!! rclxms.gif

Unfortunately Toyota have not include some features from the second generation like auto parking system into the third generation which they had in US. But who need those features in Malaysia, even they have it I dare not use it in Malaysia parking bay. shakehead.gif

The guy who invented this toyota hybrid system is fantastic. Using the idea from the planetary system to make the eCVT gears are amazing. notworthy.gif

Maintenance is even easier/lower with the Prius/Prius C with:
1. Beltless operations in the engine
2. Less wear & tear to the engine, you clock 100k km in a HSD, most of the time its only 50%-70% was contributed by the ICE (RPM hovering around 1k-2k some more sweat.gif )
3. Regenerative braking...some in priuschat never changed their brake pads in years  wink.gif

Will add up once i can think of more...all this just spontaneously popped up my mind while writing  tongue.gif

Do you think our PC have this feature = Downhill Assist Control (DAC) hmm.gif

Drive all the way to Puchong to have window visor installed for RM230, remember to give them a call before you drop by, as I waited half hour because they ran out of stock.

Bro, do they install for you or you just buy the visor and install yourself?? hmm.gif

Why I ask this is becoz they're door visor supplier and not a car accessories shop.

Guys, wanna check with you guys, how much is the interest now? I've been quote 2.52 from maybank and cimb, and 2.41 from affin and rhb, here in penang (9 years loan). However my fren just book a pc in shah alam today and been quoted 2.42 from maybank and 2.38 from rhb. Last week when the bank call me i tried to nego the interest rate but she said the rate is standard and fixed.

Btw according to my fren, shah alam showroom offer 7k discount and free tinted.
*
Mine got 2.5% for 5 years from PB. If take 3 years around 2.6 ~2.7%. According to the bank officer, the longer u take the lower the interest and same goes wif the amount u want to borrow. Higher amount lower the interest. That what I been told.

I bet one of this days our car will be recall for something. Today, otw back, extreme jam, stuck for 1 hr still manage 17km/l, if it's my old car, I guess only 5km/l. But when low batt, the engine keep on kick in to recharge, very irritating....

In this world there is nothing 100% prefect. If we can get something like 80~90% prefect that is consider the best we can get. Like proton can get 60%, you are very lucky. And nothing can last forever. wink.gif
