Rejected the UPU offer, so didnt register at all?

So now, means later on when UPU opens again, he has to re-apply again through UPU just like other school leavers. The fees I'm not sure, even if naik, just around rm100-200 increase i think.

hi hirano, ya something like that he didnt register after he receive a form from uum through postman(registration form where it has matrix number one). so means he is not blacklisted rite?

He wanna apply for accounting course , how much the fees cost ? and also when have intake as well?

Added on October 31, 2012, 12:35 amhirano, jz some additional info. the process was like this. he get his stpm cgpa of 3.4. bought pin from bank nasional or where i forgot dy. then , he go to a website n key in details and with the pin. then after a few month receive a letter from postman but didnt register. so stil have chance to apply? it was 2010 that time. the 2013 intake is on sept?

Hmmm I dont think he's blacklisted. There's really no harm to try applying again.

If it was from 2010, means the fees has increased a bit. By how much I'm not sure. Btw, I saw this from UPU's website: "Permohonan kemasukan ke IPTA/Politeknik/ILKA bagi lepasan SPM,Asasi, Matrikulasi,STPM,STAM,Diploma atau SETARAF dengannya dan jualan No.Unik ID di BSN bagi Sesi Akademik 2013/2014 akan dibuka pada bulan Januari 2013.". So be sure to grab the chance. Tell your friend to always monitor UPU's website on the intake dates.

BTW, please call up UUM's administration itself, since I think UUM got intake not through UPU one. Next semester will begin on February. So please call and confirm whether got this kind of intake or not.

Accounting registration + 1st sem fee should be around 2000-2300 maybe, the rest of semesters around 1500-1700 only per semester. I really don't know on the latest amount since they increased a bit after 2010.

Told you to call UUM admin straight ma about got 2 intakes or not. Only admin can confirm. Ask them, "Intake February 2013 macam mana nak masuk? What's the procedure?"

About the september intake thing.... it means the UPU opens this January, so apply it this January. Later the result will come around July 2013 maybe, then your friend kena masuk on September 2013 lo. Only "rayuan" will masuk 2-3 weeks late from that. Your friend cannot go in October one unless he is rayuan batch or got very strong reason why come late.

guys, i just called uum jz nw. i ask the guy. seemed blur what he say.
I asked him gt two intake he said yes feb for diploma while sept for stpm holder. then i said my friend can only enter on october due to personal reason. the operator said can apply for sept intake 2013through upu but must write letter that he will continue on feb 2014.. gt such thing? i need help for clarification, hope u guys can help me out. thx lot.

May I ask what is your friend's "personal reason"? Why can enter only on October?

What the UUM guy meant apply sept2013 intake but enter feb2014, means something like "deferment". You delay studies due to personal reasons (e.g. involved in accident, pregnant, sick, etc). Means you will be UUM student on sept2013, but delay semester only. That's what I think.

means can defer to feb 2014 (sept intake) to only start studying or already jumped to 2nd semester straight? the personal reason i also not sure. but it relate to family matters which im not so convenient to state out. he took accounts, economy, pengajian am and perniagaan. econ n pa get A , ACC GET C , perniagaan B. all add up divide 4 get 3.4. the chance get acc course high?

On Feb2014 only he will start studying, means he's supposedly 2nd sem but still freshie there. So if Accounting course got overall 8 sems, he will finish on 9th sem (if he pass all).

I think the chance is average only, since his STPM got Acc C-grade. Why dont he take up Economic course instead?

i just worried that the excuses he give might not be acceptable by uum. let say if say he was pursuing degree in other private/local institutions and will end on year end , do u think they will consider this excuses? can u pls ask for me as well if u happen see the person in charge?

He might need to go once to UUM to register on September. But this one I'm really not sure, sorry.

I dont actually know who is the person in charge since Accounting is under College of Business (COB), and I'm under College of Law, Gov, and International Studies (COLGIS). Right now we're having mid-semester break also.

I suggest your friend call UUM, since he knows his situation/reasons best. But I personally think that reason of still pursuing private institution till year end might not be strong enough. They will just say "why not just stop study there since u already applied UUM?". Need better reason.
