Few hundred ringgit consumer ranged speaker no need waste anytime burning in. They mostly use paper cone and drivers have low excursion.

RM 400 budget, you can go audition the HiVi D1010-IV and you will know what to bring home laugh.gif

hi, I got a old speaker tat by default need a 15v output from its own power supply to amp, but the power supply is too bulky and very heavy for me to bring around, any idea if i use a lighter 12v output power supply to fuel it instead?

Underpower wouldn't be good for your speaker I guess.

Hi, i am looking for a 2.1 speaker for a very boomy type as well as clarity. good in movie and music!

currently im looking at logitech z-623 because it is super boomy, but the satelites kinda sucky for the clarity/treble. tends to distort/break when the volume knob passed 70% (bass knob MAX)

any recommendation? budget around RM500

Edifier M1335 or M1380 for playing music and movies on desktop? Price is about the same.

Hello there,

I'm looking for a good pair of 2.0 speakers for movies and music (Jazz, Rock, Classical). As for now Gigaworks T20 really appeals to me - did anyone have a good experience with these?

I'm also hoping there might be an equally good alternative for less than RM300. Would appreciate any helpful suggestions. Thanks in advance and cheers =]

The T20 is probably discontinued or not for sale in Malaysia anymore but I would say it's some good stuff in the past.

you can try out Edifier studio series such as
-R1900T3
-R2000T
-R2500
-R2600(maybe)

Thank you for your suggestions power911 and CyntrixTech! I checked out the Edifier studio series - the wood finish is very pretty! Will need to go have a listen.

The M10 is VERY tempting but indeed I am looking for a pair of 2.0s as I prefer a small footprint (desktop space is premium and my room is small =(

The cheapest 2.0 speaker that you will from Hivi, a true hi-fi brand, is the d1010-iv, but it is Rm399. There are other speakera like a30, s3w but these are not the same quality and serve different purposes

Yup, I saw those in your website last night. My needs fall somewhere between the s3w and the D1010-iv, so keeping the m10 and s3w in mind for now =)
