Players look tired.
Fabregas quite poor first half. Not sure he's injured or what. Valencia play really well so far. This post has been edited by ahaksz28: Feb 4 2013, 02:54 AM |

We totally got owned in this game.. Our whole first team played but we they were vastly superior and we rarely see this, but we were outclassed.. They had much more end product with little possession of the ball... I wonder why Roura played all first teamers while he coulda given adriano, montoya, thiago, sanchez and tello/villa a run.. might have obtained a different results.. Likes of sergio, cesc and predrito looked fatigued and disinterested.. they were almost content with a point.. Silver lining is that Valdes got to prove his worth, the saves he pulled off to save us a point were nothing short of magnificent.

Barcelona 6 - 1 Getafe
Sanchez, Messi, Villa, Tello scored for Barca. A brainfart from Alba allowed a consolation goal for Getafe's Alvaro. Iniesta scored in the 90th minute, Pique scored in injury time. Interesting to note that Sanchez scored a grand total of 1 goal in La Liga this season, while young Tello has 4. |

Why Barca thread so quiet one.
According to [Sport], PSG is interested to sign Adriano in summer. Would be sad if he leave, he is a good backup for both LB and RB position, and can play at both LW and RW as well. Even more importantly, he score more goals than Alexis Sanchez this season. On an unrelated note, just want to post some photos in this quiet thread. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

Hi guys, been missing for more than half a season now LOL. Honestly, I don't feel like such a football fan anymore, missing so many games.
I'm not sure whether it's been discussed yet here, but I wanna ask people here, has Pep actually [b]signed[\b] the contract with Bayern? Or did he only give verbal agreement via his agent? Either way, its been rumored that Bayern has offered (and Pep agreed supposedly) 3 years contract to him. I don't know about you guys, but I really feel awkward about that. Its like being sad or something, as when he was here he only accepted 1 year contract. Signing only 1 year contracts with the club of his life, but 3 years for direct competitor in UCL? Oh thanks to sepulse for posting the clasico videos Regarding transfer rumors, Adriano is not going anywhereee. I love him |

Marca reports that we've reach an agreement with ter Stegen for a transfer in the summer.
Well I'm not sure German players will be able to fit in that well here tbh. And I believe if we are going to buy someone, I'm sure it will be Spanish, or at least a Spanish speaking player. |

I love him Pep's reason for the 1 year rolling contract during his Barca days were so that he can quit when he feels he is no longer able to lead / motivate his players. I think it was an admirable act. Most managers would want stability of a long contract, and the possibility of a huge payoff if the club decide to sack them before their contract expire. Yeah, since then, Adriano has came out to say he wants to continue playing in Barca. But it's hard to resist the big money of PSG. We'll have to wait and see. |

QUOTE(Big_Bad_Wolfgang @ Feb 16 2013, 02:49 PM) Goalscorers list that I grabbed from BarcaForum below. How many of you are members there or lurks there? I do sometimes. Since Tapatalk can't be used for Lowyat, I access BF instead » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « For example Villa's issues. They keep screaming for him to be played, when it is obvious he couldn't stay 100% healthy since his broken leg, and that the team have to be very cautious on him. Or that Thiago, Montoya and other youngsters should be given more chances, without them realizing that it has always been our way to promote our youngsters slowly. Except if the talent is Messi ofc. What I like about the forum is the resident members from other teams, fans of Real, English clubs, Bundesliga, Serie A, even Mexico. Despite some of the banters and heated debates between them, I can see they respect each other, and hence the better atmosphere. Even between resident Man Utd and Liverpool fans. Something that our LYN FL really lack, sadly. |

QUOTE(uzary @ Jan 20 2013, 11:13 PM) No offense to valdes fan, i respected valdes as he is our main goal keeper, he is a good goalkeeper but not a great goalkeeper. Yes cassilas, buffon are also makes mistake but most of the tym they guard their goal well. Valdes is kinda like barthez, he can be great one match, but terrible in d another. I am not sure who you are referring to but VV is more than a good GK.This season tito playstyle make alot of goals for us but also leave rooms for opponent to counter attack. Judging how many goals we conceded this season, it is clear that valdes wasnt that great. Previous season under pep, we played much more tiki taka n hold the possesion of the ball better than this year, n during that tym valdes really dont need to do anything, but wit tito play style, he is exposed to more attack from the opponent strikers. N he proved himself by just being a good keeper but not great. Btw i kinda frustrated with this lost as i was hoping we win the la liga title undefeated like juve did lst season. But past is past, hope we perform better nex match, this match luck wasnt on our side. We could hav score at least 4 goals during the first half n win the match. But too bad, n with pique red card, i knew we will lost n we did. If he wasn't he wouldn't have been between the sticks for so long. I guess you forgot the # times he has saved our asses. I don't have the stats but I remember last year I saw one stat saying that VV had a better ratio than the world class Casillas over a # year period. Not amount of stops but the ratio. That's gotta mean a lot. In my mind, VV has a better foot skills that is so important for our style of play and he is one of the best 1 on 1 shot stopper. |

QUOTE(JustForFun @ Jan 20 2013, 06:42 PM) If his 1 on 1 is so good, why couldn't he bail Barcelona out of defeat last year when Ramires and Torres both ran wild at Camp Nou? Now you're just being selective.I can barely keep count of the mistakes he made in big games - most recent El Classico games come to mind immediately. In last year's Spanish cup, he failed to recognize the danger and received the ball with a very poor control, leading to the dispossession by Angel Di Maria and conceded a goal. In the next Classico that ended 2-2, he was beaten near post by Cristiano Ronaldo, which was not even a fast ball to begin with, terrible reflex. An even older El Classico game, he passed the ball to Angel Di Maria (yet again) and let Benzema score within a minute, then there's the Espanyol game some time ago where the same thing happened. What keeper in the right mind will commit these mistakes in a game of such dimension? His distribution is piss poor and his failure to maintain composure when pressured has failed him from time to time. He was massively overrated or was he overrated to begin with? Nowhere near good enough for Barca as he was only made good by the 10 men in front of him. You are just counting a few instances where he was beaten. Why don't you count the number of times Casillas, Buffon, Reina and Neuer made mistakes too? I've seen howlers from all of them last season or the seasons before. Can't really talk about this season as I haven't been watching any football other than Barca. Like I mentioned earlier, there was a study done with stats showing that VV had a better ratio than Casillas. It was last season and the season before. QUOTE Nowhere near good enough for Barca as he was only made good by the 10 men in front of him. If this was the case, he wouldn't have had to make any saves doesn't he? As a matter of fact he does have to make saves and most of them were the hardest part for GK's which are 1 on 1 situations. |

He was attached to Barca. He was a player and now a coach and obviously he loves to club to death. And besides that, we all know that Barca is not just a club. It is like a country so he is more or less carrying Catalunya on his back. That is a massive burden to walk around with. |

QUOTE(JustForFun @ Jan 20 2013, 03:04 AM) I hope that he isn't leaving for good.Hopefully he will be back in a different capacity. As a coach or ambassador perhaps. I guess you have not watched Barca matches since the 90's. We never had any reliable GK's since Zubi. We just never had a world class GK. I was happy with the portuguese #99 Victor Baia but I don't know what happened and he just disappeared. Hesp, Rustu, Bonano were simply poor. Rustu was god awful. If you thought VV made a lot of mistakes, try to find old matches and see what the turkish guy did. Numerous fumbles in the last minute causing us to lose points. You know what they say, "you never know what you got till it's gone." Btw, I am not a VV fan. I am a fan of the club first and foremost. I just can't stand fans who don't just appreciate but taking digs at players without justice. |
