Hi guys,

Let's say one of the SGX REITS issue div, what would the procedure be like?

do they charge any fee for transferring the dividend to your bank acc (msia bank acc)?

if u are with msia based nominee account, sg dividend paid to this nominee acc will cost u something.
cimb charge flat sgd10 for each div payout.
so, if u get a small div, say sgd30, 1/3 is gone.
maybe other brokers charge less, i dunno...

i see.

thanks for the explanation. laugh.gif will email the brokerage firm to know more about this. at least much more clearer what to ask them.

according to my broker which is HLE Broking...

They mentioned that

All foreign dividends will be credited into your trust account. There are no charges involved.

so nice? blink.gif

EDIT:

They mislead. They resend another email. lol.

All foreign dividends will be credited into your trust account. Should you have Multi Currency Settlement, dividends will be credited into your trust account in SGD. You may refer to My Account >> Transactions >> DN/CN (Currency: Singapore Dollars) Please refer below for the charges on foreign dividend charges:

Agent Handling Charges SGD6.00

Bank Charges SGD0

Our Handling RM10

can.

but kindly take note that it is rather expensive to buy S-reits using local brokerage.

preferable if you have a SG brokerage account.

Agree. I opened account with DBS in Singapore then transfer my SGD over. You can then transfer from DBS to Vickers or Phillip Securities.
*
hello.

are you a SG PR or holding SG working permit?

or just cross border with hard cold cash and open DBS bank acc? laugh.gif

Im Malaysian, I brought cold hard cash into Singapore often, then change my ringgit into sgd at JB or lucky plaza for better rate. Or sometimes I transfer to my HSBC SG from my HSBC MY dual currency account, subsequently transfer to my DBS.

DBS accept Malaysians without being resident.

btw, what is the minimum deposit for your acc and what is the name? biggrin.gif

Depends on your investments style, if u buy small amounts, forumers here recommend standard chartered, lower brokerage, but for me, I'm fine with 0.18%, I'm using KE.
*
how's KE interface? user friendly? easy navigation? alot of resource tools? tongue.gif

interested to know more.

So how to increase the chance of successful transaction without lifting the unit price?

I'm using KE btw.

common issue when it comes to purchasing SREITS. biggrin.gif

keep trying. either adjust your entry price or maintain it if you are not in a hurry.

will do the same. Will open MAYBANK KE nominee. Any idea if can do online?
*
yes it can be done. i opened it via online and they sent me the documents via mail.

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Feb 20 2017, 10:01 AM)
Don't think so. Asking them do I need a Maybank account or a Maybank account is not needed (send the email yesterday). No reply yet. If by mail I think need to have everything verify by commission of oath (as in the case of Philip). Not sure if they let use do my mail or not. I am heading down to SG again in March to deposit money  biggrin.gif

i managed to open an account with them WITHOUT commission of oath signature somehow. but it depends on the relationship between you and the broker. whistling.gif

1) Do you all make your own Excel spreadsheet, or use a pre-made spreadsheet, to calculate the average cost of S-Reits units you are holding? After all, once the current price of the units exceeds the average cost, we start to make profit.

2) Do you use weighted average formula to determine the average cost?

Example:

Share price on 27 March: SGD 1.30. Bought 2000 units.

Share price on 28 March: SGD 1.80. Bought 1000 units.

Average cost of the units = SGD (1.30 x 2000 + 1.80 x 1000) / (2000 + 1000) = SGD 1.47

Correct me, if I am wrong. Thank you.  smile.gif
*
i create my own excelsheet.

edit: sorry forgotten the top part.

guys feel free to reco what info to add inside. basically its just to keep track of yield% and berapa is the div.
