Blackstone reportedly in the process of buying out CRT in a deal worth >$1.4b
So let's put it at say $1.5b for 769.73mil outstanding shares

1 share= $ 1.9487.

If use public float at 656.30mil shares
1 share = $2.2855 ????

CIMB analyst Lock Mun Yee noted that the shareholding structure of the trust is very diversified, with the top 10 shareholders holding less than a third of the trust. This will make it difficult for any offeror, especially one without any prior stake, to buy out the whole trust, unless of course the price is very attractive.

At $1.9 offer, I will bite their hands off! laugh.gif

As I understand, even if the deal was $1.4 bil, the capitalization is around only $800mil.

If it is a buyout and privatization(we do not know that yet), there is an issue of settling the debts outstanding as well.

What is Croesus' debt presently?

I believed they would have worked out the above maths already,... what we unitholders need to be concerned with is : will we agree with 1.17 ? How many will agree ??

Hans

Where did you get 1.17?

1.17 minus 1.055 = 11 cents premium over last trading price. 11 cents is about 1.5 yrs of "advanced" dividen...

hmmm..tough call.. if premium is >2 yrs of "advanced" dividen, then the decision is alot easier smile.gif
*
I do not think the major shareholders will accept this sort of offer.
Maybe a premium of 20 to 30% of the average stock price over the last 3 months?

OK, the verdict is out ... 1.17+4.06 cents = 1.21
Many investors will accept the offer I think, including me ... smile.gif

Not read the full thing yet.

What is the 4.06?

Problem for me as Hans knows, Croesus is my biggest baby.......... sweat.gif

the 4.06 is the dividend (estimated) that the investors suppose to receive, from now till the deal is closed.

bro, u can take the windfall and re-invest in somewhere else lor ... if ur cost is around 80 cents, this is almost 50% gain excluding the dividend received ... Croesus represents around 40% of my portfolio , need to find another one or two REITs to re-invest
*
Yeah.

Croesus is about 40% of my SG portfolio too

Investors,.... even if this deal does not go through, we have nothing to lose,... the longer this deal remains 'stuck', the more divvies we will enjoy,...

If we do not agree,... one of two scenarios will take place :-

1) Offeror must come back with a favourable offer, if they 'mati-mati' wanted this trust.

2) Offeror walks away, and we will continue to enjoy the dvd till another offeror comes in future.

Tell me, bros,... what is your reason for cashing out ? Do you have a better counter to buy ??
*
Who is cashing out? hmm.gif

The only way to make money if you cash out is for the deal to FAIL. smile.gif

Wait for EGM, if can vote via letter, just vote no. (not sure whether SCB will give you EGM notice or not) If cannot vote via letter, see whether you can make it down. They need 50% to pass.

The announcement in clause 8 states that at least three fourths of units held by the unitholders present or by proxy at the scheme meeting is required to approve the scheme.

offer 1.17 anything above that can sell right?

but 1.17 not a confirm thing yet.... whats the chances it will be successful?
*
It is 1.17 + 4.05 = 1.215

That is the reason I asked. smile.gif

No. It is never confirmed till they approved at the EGM. Like I mentioned some shareholders may not like the offer.
And there are many many big shareholders. That is the difficulty they have.

now is 1.185 liao...

See the 20,000 lots BUY line? That's them.......remember they need 75% of the votes for the buyout to go through.
The more shares they own between now and the EGM, the more votes they will have

It was pointed out to me that the DPU for Croesus for quarter ending 31st March 2017 has yet to be distributed.

Which means that the 4.05 , IF it is for Jan to Oct 17 is way off the normal DPU payment! mad.gif
