Thanks for that!
I thought of buying Soilbuildbiz previously but I'm worried with the oversupply of industrial space in SG.  sweat.gif
*
ya, duwan another sabana... another aimsampi ok! tongue.gif

i was wary too when i bought soilbuildbiz but the analyses i read seemed to ok'ed it then.
i bought 0.79 in may 2014, still 0.79 now.
yield 7.8%, can consider...

u mentioned firstreit, #5 top performer in 2014.
i been adding bit by bit... just added a bit today 1.255.
yield 6.4% is still ok.

note ex rate sgd/rm today 2.6565/2.6435.
getting harder n harder...

All Sifu here,

Please give me some idea before i bot my first reits in SG

IREIT Global
Kepple DC Reit
Starhill Global Reit
SoilbuildBizREIT

If i worked at SG still entitled to claim back the div tax and how ?

Please advise.

Many Thanks
*
the 4 u listed r good enough. maybe consider firstreit as well.

resident or non, div tax... i think u can't.

depending on the counter n div type, some are tax free, some r taxed. no exemption/refund, i believe. best to check with yr broker.

sgd/rm today 2.6745/2.6625.

Thanks AVGAN.
But too high already ... base on NAV.

Yup... more to come please... then my salary this month will consider as "increment"  rclxms.gif
*
there is one thing u may want to think about.

prices may be high based on nav but nav is not always a factor to determine price.

given the shix we see, i can imagine thousands of people with rm now running off to nearby sg to park $, seeking shelter.

so, think about if this will have an impact on sgreit price... tongue.gif

euro weakening but IREIT instead of going down has been creeping up.. really can't predict market  doh.gif

europe economy overall is not good. but german economy not too bad, probably the strongest one.

also, when there is panic, people go to bonds. reits are proxy to bonds...

avfan.. whatcha buying now? Next round div will be JAN ...
*
today sgd/rm... 2.6875/2.6745.

with rm, very hard to buy any and when prices are edging up all the time, e.g. capitamall n firstreit.

yes, will have to accumulate div to buy. board lot 100 units coming, right?

not looking at new counters at all, will just add bits; probably soilbuildbiz n aimsampi as their yields r still good.

unlikely to add ireit global as it is still not liquid; hope liquidity improve with first div announcement.

ya... noticed this two reits not doing good... that;s i concern which to go for.....

perhaps can start with SoilbuildBizREIT and Keppel DC REIT  hmm.gif  hmm.gif  hmm.gif
*
soilbuildbiz - said previously, it is very stable, been at 0.79 forever, boring!
yield 7.8%, div paid twice a year, not 4 times.

keppel dc - this one is new, right?

DC = Data Center and this is more to IT Servers....  tongue.gif
*
took a quick look at this keppel dc. loosk ok to me:
- premium over ipo price (unlike the discounts we see again n again in bursa! laugh.gif )
- low gearing 28%
- decent promised yield
- data centers a viable biz
- excellent liquidity

suntec 1.98
cdlhtrust 1.77
firstreit 1.285

nice... but are they increasing income n dividends? or just a rush to bonds n reits?

time to sell some? hmm.gif

i key in to sell suntec 2.00.. but not done.
maybe first reit also can dispose.. coz with the higher price.. just take the cap gain instead of waiting div.
and exchange with those 7% yield.

what u think ACCORDIA GOLF? something new...
*
suntec 2.00... think need a few more "good" months since it will a new record high.
will sell when it gets there. smile.gif

firstreit - somehow i like to keep this only healthcare counter i have.

accordia... never liked golf, so will stay far away. and in japan... yen no good...

Dear Sifu,

New to S-REITs and I am planning to invest in Soilbuildbiz & AIMS within this week.

Given both REITS result release is just around the corner, would this be a positive quarter and a good time to buy ?

Looking for the div yield smile.gif
*
based on price movement in last few weeks, both are expected to declare next div similar to previous. so, nothing spectacular or disappointing.

soilbuildbiz will come first, like most of the rest. aims is somewhat out of the normal cycle, a month lag.

Sg still moving upwards.. Yesterday was talking to money changer guy.. Business very good.
Many ppl keeping foreign currency even at RM low...

U think the SG will move up somemore?
2.60 already high.. now 2.70 coming!!!....

What to buy this round for coming div?
*
i'm counting on 3.0 in 5 yrs time. tongue.gif

actually, been monitoring very closely... wanna sell suntec, add to aims/starhill/first/soil.

suntec yield very low, unlikely it will rise much more.

Hey US markets interest me but they charge high taxes right?
*
no tax on cap gains, 30% on dividends.

brokerage will depend on what platform u use.

if using local banks, it's about the same as sgx or hkx.

Bought in 4000 unit for SoilbuildBizReit
*
soilbuild biz is forever 0.79! biggrin.gif
so, u get the div yield of 7.8% almost guaranteed.

sgx down 1% today, yet some reits shot up.
not sure why but seems like investors are looking for safe haven in liquid reits like suntec, capitacom and capitamall.
us 10 yr bonds yield now at low of 1.74% only after all the oil and swiss franc sagas.

elea, suntec now 1.98, may reach 2.00 after all! smile.gif

If really reach 2.. u think should sell?
my Resolution for 2015 is SELL LOSERS.. and buy WINNERS.
i have a bad habit of averaging down shares that drop.

And Recap.. the reason bought SUNTEC initially at the low price was some buiding was under renovation.
I need check if the reno is done.. If Reno done and tenanted out.. then 2015 will increase in yield?

Guessing only ya.. i try find time this weekend to GOOGLE it.
*

ya, that's a nasty habit, average down. tongue.gif
i have come to do the reverse, i.e. average up which seems to work better.
now, i only average down for punting, not investing. laugh.gif

Suntec city looks bright and shining now! They have the world largest HD Led screen and houses the world largest fountain of wealth. Will sure like to have a meal in one of the restaurants overlooking the fountain the next time i'm there  biggrin.gif . Limited supply of office space in prime area this year may push rental increase thus benefit suntec reit. And as far as i could remember suntec has some hedging against the falling OZ dollar. thumbup.gif
*
i hope so.

i really do not know much about suntec as i don't go there often enough. but i do find it hard to sell which is why i had resisted for so long.
perhaps the next div announcement will give us some clue...

i m confident they will ALL work out quite ok! tongue.gif

btw, if really interested in us equities, take a good look again...

prices have dropped over last 5 of 6 sessions, just looking up last night. may be a good time to get started.

crude prices appear to be stabilizing...

i like my sgreits which gives me great roi n fx protection.

for "xtras" gotta look at usa.
