hello everyone,i am a student and looking for a second hand car recently.
I need ur advise for this car.
Hyundai Accent 1.5(A) made in 1997 with mileage 100k.
The price is around rm5000 for me which i need to pay for the buyer.
Other than this,After i buy the car,i still hv to fixed the air-cond as the owner claims the air-cond is stolen.
Since it is a 1500cc car, will it consume a lot of petrol? or u guys advise me to get myself a kancil rather than this kind of car?
I only have budget around rm4000-rm5000
Hope anyone can comment on this and hope i can get advise for buying myself the first car

i actually feel it is a good car but after i contact the seller,i feel weird.
he start with rm8000, then redue to rm7500.After than continue reduce to rm6500,rm6200.
and now,he open the price for me at rm5000 only.
i really scare of this and scare to get a lousy car

Around 7k to 8k can get a kancil but this price sure cannot
I can sure this car petrol sure high because old car and 1.5 sure no power at all

i think that one is still better than this one. At least the fuel consumption is lower

You would be better off getting a old skool proton saga manual to run around with.
Cheaper to maintain by comparison with the accent.

I would suggest if you could, up the ante alittle.
Somewhere in the regions of sub 10k to mid 10k, you can get a decent selection of our national 'trash can' cars.
Namely a Satria 1.6 manual, Wira 1.6 manual, Savvy manual, Kelisa Manual.

That is a good broad spectrum of choice.
And each of the cars listed are relatively affordable to maintain.

Also, please stay away from Satria and Wira 1.6 Automatics.
The auto tranny shall give you hell.

if you really cant stretch to around 10k then about 5k , better to get a Proton Iswara. Its a reliable car, with most of them still being used as daily cab. Better to get this Hyundai Accent, scared is the repair cost will be high. AC condenser also kena stolen is abit fishy.

if u not always long journey travel,get a proton iswara 1.3 manual...easy to maintain...spare part so cheap,fuel also save,not much problem...rm3k-5k can get oredi..

Nowadays, repairing/maintenace cost could be higher than the price of a car. And some lousy workshop might cause other damages while they are taking out parts for service.

I do agree that saga/iswara 1.3 manual is simple car to maintain, but need to get a good condition one/newest possible (no kereta potong, drive shaft no klok klok noise, engine smooth no gasket oil leak and how bad it consumes the lubricant oil, ori body paint without bubble, check for crash marks on chasis, aircond compressor working... gas leak hard to check).

Hey guys this might be out of topic, But how about Hyundai Coupe 1997?

Anyone exp it before F.S engine sparepart etc?
